Had a great time at George Keeley’s the other night! My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to grab a beer and some pub grub. We walked into GK and the place was buzzin. We were sat at a hightop right away, and our nice waiter brought us not only water, but some lovely salty popcorn as well 🍿 We ordered two beers - they came nice and cold - and the fish and chips. Food was decent. Atmosphere was questionable. The playlist was not matching with the sports vibe. The waiter never gave us our samples of the rose drink they had so we could order actual drinks. Would we go back probably not
George Keeley is one of the great neighborhood bars in Manhattan. Excellent taps, reasonably priced solid food, good bartenders. The type of place where you always feel welcome, can sip on a beer and watch the world go by.
