The best!! THE only place in the west village! No other can compare! Have lived here in this neighborhood for 2 decades - Morton street then Barrow: No other compares!! I love GC!

Not so conventional Halal Indian restaurant, offering unique dishes with some twist. Tried their salmon pakoras, lamb coconut kurma, lobster curry. Sorry to say, not my cup of tea, and didn’t enjoy that much. Nevertheless, good experience.

Excellent little find. The food was delicious and the lunch special was very reasonable. For $9 you get a small appetizer soup combo, entrée, side of Nan, and a small dessert, perfect portion. Service was friendly. Second time was just as good. This place should be packed at lunchtime. Every visit is consistently good.

“Hole in the wall” on Bleecker street.
We felt comfortable right away thanks to
the staff and never felt rushed. The food
was well prepared, authentic (and we know Indian food well) and reasonably priced.
A great find. Thank you again.

A true staple in the west village... tiny and intimate, delicious food, fair prices, unpretentious. The owner is the nicest guy and makes great recommendations. This is a jewel in a sea of crowded, noisy over-rated restaurants.
Food was very rich in spices, even by Indian food standards. And very oily. The prices were quite low.

Overall would say 10/10 place. Would go there 10 times over if I could but sadly only in New York for a trip.
Butter chicken and chicken briyani was the best!

We had an early light supper there yesterday. Beastly hot day -100 degrees. The host thoughtfully turned up the AC. Delicious samosa chaat, and green salad along with mango lassi. Everything was well seasoned, fresh ingredients and with pleasing presentation. We will be back. He's doing something right: he's been in business since 1999!

Best Indian food I’ve ever had. Order the samosa chaat you won’t regret it. All at an incredibly cheap price point. The owner is so sweet and brought us complimentary dessert. Inside decor is lovely, they have cute lights!!
