This restaurant was amazing! I only had the spaghetti and meatballs, and it was the best plate of spaghetti in my life!

The food at Giano is GREAT! We had a great meal - with my favorite Cacio e Pepe - made to perfection! We also had grilled asparagas - a real treat. The calamari was tender and fresh. The wine list pairs with the food so well! A wonderful night was had by all.
The service here was amazing, the food was so good, and overall we just love this local spot. I recommend grabbing dinner here on your next date night!
Best Italian food I have had in the US, which makes sense when you learn just how fresh/authentic their ingredients/cooking is... The truth is, this place would have gotten a high rating for their service/atmosphere alone - such amazing people!
Our party of 4 shared 4 pasta dishes (for variety) and 2 Appetizers and were blown away. Add another 2 bottles of wine and the bill was still not high whatsoever. To say this place is a bang for your buck would be a massive understatement.
Shoutout to Marco who stepped in last second to wait tables and took care of us. Potentially a top 5 human being of all time.
Till next time Giano!

Our favorite Italian restaurant! Every dish is delicious and a generous portion, and the owners are lovely. This time, we tried the lemon pasta and spinach gnocchi, both of which were specials. Don't sleep on Giano - best Italian in the East Village. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!
We were in town for a few days and after seeing a Broadway show, I asked my New York friend for a great Italian restaurant recommendation. He suggested GIANO on 126 E 7th St. Although it was a bit out of our way since we were on 42nd and 8th, we trusted his taste and took a cab—and I’m so glad we did.
Wow! He couldn’t have recommended a better place. The dishes were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Paolo and Roberta were incredibly authentic, professional, friendly, and caring. The atmosphere was so relaxed and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.
Below are a few photos of the amazing dishes we ordered. This place truly deserves 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Italian dining experience in NYC.

As first time diners at Giano, we found everything we were served to be fresh, deliciously seasoned homemade pasta, and nicely presented. We chose to end the dinner with tiramisu, voted one of the five best in North America. As frequent selecters of tiramisu as a dessert, we would agree with that rating. Friendly and helpful service and appropriately priced. Located in the East Village where we were also able to find street parking within a block or two. We look forward to returning to Giano in the near future,
One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC! Authentic Italian dishes and great wine! Service was exceptional and Paolo will make you feel right at home! Highly recommend.
The pastas we each had were delicious. The service was friendly and top notch. The quality-value ratio probably best in the city for Italian food. Highly recommend.
Favorite Italian in the city hands down. Everything is sublime from the food to the wine to the service.

Giano's is amazing. Paolo was a fantastic and incredibly accommodating host. Was totally patient when some of our party was late, provided special recommendations for items off-menu, created a custom dish at the request of one of our party, poured some truffle oil for us to try since some had never had it, and was overall very welcoming (and funny!) And to top it off, served tiramisu on the house (since we'd already picked up desserts from a local bakery— Paolo let us know their tiramisu was top 5 rated in North America). And the food was delicious. Highly recommend all around.
Make the reservation - you won't regret it! Giano is my fiance and I's favorite restaurant in NYC. We take every visitor here, and it exceeds everyone's expectations. The owners are THE BEST - so welcoming, incredible service, and the food is to die for.
Matteo was beyond a gentleman! The food here is to die for... Quality fresh homemade Italian food. The restaurant is adorable and cozy. The staff are funny and lovely! The pasta dishes were spectacular as my friends and I all shared. I can't wait to come back here. If you want a great dining experience in the east village come to Giano!
Authentic Italian dishes in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Paulo was an excellent server and the reason above all else, that I will go back.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I will probably be back. The owner/general manager(?) was very attentive and warm. My only concern is over the general waitstaff/busboys.. they came across as rather rude and unprofessional (for example, just throwing the bread on the table. Another example is when they placed my Entree on the table, they knocked over my silverware).
