A lot of choices and bargains price
I did go to Van cafe too but this bun at Go believe is better
my go-to for frozen dumplings & char siu bao
Amazing spot for a dumpling haul! I usually get something new each visit and I’ve yet to have a bad choice there.
This place? Dumpling heaven. We grabbed the pan-fried dumplings first and honestly, I’m still thinking about them—they had that perfect crispy bottom and juicy center situation going on. We also tried the egg crepe and beef crepe, and they hit even harder once we added a little of that spicy chili sauce (highly recommend). But what really stuck with me was the atmosphere. It wasn’t just authentic—it felt like stepping into another world. For a moment, I didn’t feel like a tourist grabbing lunch—I felt like a curious outsider getting a glimpse of something deeper, something special. It’s rare to find food and feeling like that in one stop.
My favorite super authentic Hong Kong style food place!
Good frozen dumplings to take home. It's like a dollar more but the taste and quality is significantly better. It can get crowded inside but that's like every other Chinatown shop.
I bought a lot and the cashier lady double checked the charges before taking my money. Good and honest folks.
Best buns in Chinatown!
I came here in Nov 2023 while visiting from Alabama, and I was surprised to see prices much lower than back home! I tried siu mai, 2 kinds of pork buns, and coffee. All of them were really good, and the prices were even better. The buns were around $1.50-2.50, and they were pretty big - I think 3 of them is a solid meal for almost anyone. If I ever find myself in Manhattan again, I'll definitely be back.
This is one of my go-to places to get frozen dumplings!
This Chinese bakery does have food you can order and eat here, where I have only gotten a small items here and there such as Egg Tarts and Sesame Balls which as good, however my main goal of coming here is always for getting their frozen items!
When you enter Go Believe, on the right side there are freezers that have a variety of frozen items to choose from such as different types of dumplings and buns. For people that would want to prepare these types of items at home, this is a great place to stock up on them! Also, if you do not see an item in the large tall freezers, make sure you also check the chest freezers next to them, as they will also have a bunch of frozen items inside.
I specifically look to get dumplings, which when I prepare them at home are delicious! The ones I get come in bags of 50 dumplings. The dumpling skins are made well and hold up to being frozen and subsequently prepared. The type of dumplings I like to get are the chicken & mushroom and pork & chive.
Finally, if possible, look to pay with cash as a discount would apply there! The last time I got dumplings (middle of 2024) I paid $27 for 100 dumplings.

Tasty, affordable, fresh veggie rice rolls earn this place 5 stars for me. Service was efficient and I can’t wait to try the dumplings and baked goods.

Bought their turnip cake (蘿蔔糕) for a Dragonboat Festival gathering and it was the hit of the party. The turnip cake has plenty of fresh turnip and has a soft interior. Really easy to panfry to perfection.
Very local Chinese bakery with a huge menu of meals, baked goods, frozen bun and dumplings, and drinks.
It will be overwhelming if it is your first time visiting. There is limited space by the cashier to order and pick up, so need to watch out if you are holding hot food. There are limited seating spaces for dining in so I would recommend take out.
I got wanton soup (10c) made with mushroom, ground pork and a few tiny shrimp. Dense texture, not bad but I was expecting more shrimp. Steamed rice crepe is alright. Egg tart has authentic flavor and texture but would be better if it is fresh out of oven.
