The dupe food critic reviews crack me up. This place is great. Food’s great and freshly made. Bakery items are also delicious. Idk where else you can get perfectly steamed shrimp dumplings 4 for $4.25.
I absolutely love this bakery. Always fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. The staff is kind, and there’s so much to choose from. One of my favorite go-to spots.

Van Cafe, also known as Vans, is a reliable and authentic dim sum spot in Chinatown. The atmosphere is not fancy, offering a very local vibe, but the food is fantastic and a great value. It opens early, providing easy and convenient service for dishes like dim sum, chicken mushroom rice, tofu skin rolls, Lo Mai Gai (sticky rice), steamed pork buns, chicken and pork buns, shrimp dumplings, steamed rice rolls, pastries, and hot drinks like cappuccino. The food is freshly made, satisfying cravings with home cooked meals for cheap, even with modest price increases over the years.
The place is clean, though it can be a little crowded with only a couple tables. The business is cash only and family owned, with the families who run it providing super friendly, helpful, warm, and accommodating service with smiley faces. It is a favorite among local Chinese die hards for its enormous variety at bargain prices, perfect for a dim sum takeout craving.
