Easy and convenient, Opens early, had to stop by Chinatown early Friday morning and I order a large cappuccino and a pastry for less than $8. Wish it was a little less crowded as they only have couple tables. But Will definitely come again

The iced milk tea somehow managed to taste worse than water and they forgot forks for my food?? The atmosphere isn’t desirable and it’s not very aesthetically pleasing whatsoever, but it works, I suppose. Not a 1 star review because an employee added sugar to the milk tea and now it’s tolerable.

Coffee was $1.50.
We're open early in the morning!
This bread was delicious with white bean paste and a crunchy surface.
This place has changed Its name to VANS but basically the exact same place so don’t let the name on the sign confuse you
Fantastic authentic freshly made dim sum.
Get there in the morning when they open and join the group of local Chinese die hards enjoying the enormous variety at bargain prices
Atmosphere isn’t very fancy, but you don’t want it to be very fancy at a place like this
You just want food to be fantastic which it is
And unlike a lot of local Chinese places, super friendly and helpful service by the owners

The Chinese is "good century", but the English is "Van Cafe". Love the Cantonese and very local vibes. Bread, hot drinks, dimsum (pau, rice). I got the steamed rice rolls (plain/ without meat) at USD 2.75.

A favorite place for tea and a snack. It hasn’t changed in a zillion years which is comforting to this middle aged person.

Had a hard time finding it, but not a big deal - it’s now called Van Bakery. We went in to grab some to-go to bring back to Texas but had some fresh baos while we were there. The ones they pull out of the warmer were good, very soft and tasty. We tried the roast pork, sticky rice, and combination - the roast pork being my personal favorite. However, I can’t say the same for the ones you buy in bulk from their fridge. The day after purchase I opened the plastic bag it comes in, and was greeted with a weird chemical-like smell. I decided to ignore it and continue to heat a couple up to eat. The bread was hard and meat flavor was not the same as the one I had in store.

The only eatery with assorted freshly steamed dim sum, pork buns, RP buns, chicken etc available at 7am sharp. My favorite is the hot sticky rice rolls at $1.25 a piece with a cup of coffee or tea at $1.50. what a deal. There are also your assorted baked Chinese buns available. Overall, food rated at 4.1, service at 4.3.
