This place has gotten a lot of hype, so I had to see whether it was worth it or not. To set expectations, this is not fast food. There was a line out the door on a Saturday at 2 p.m. It moved pretty fast though, and I only waited about 20 minutes. Once I ordered, it took a little over 10 minutes for my food to be ready. They have limited seating, but there's someone at the door who only lets people in when seating opens up. I ordered a Double Gotham Smash burger with a side of fries. The ingredients were fresh, and the burger had so much flavor. The fries could've been better. They didn't have much flavor at all. Is this the best burger I've had in NYC? No, but it's one of the best I've had. My only complaint is that it's a little pricey. 8 fried pickles slices are $8, and fountain drinks are $4.

definitely the best smashed burger in nyc. an enhanced and less greasy version of 7th st. the burger came with jalapeños that added an amazing kick to it. the loaded tots were impeccable and the tots stayed crispy throughout the whole time.

Super cool concept. It's not like a shake shack at all. Very trendy place where the burgers and fries are great and you can sit and eat with your friends and family. You walk in, take a look at the menu on the wall while you wait in line, order, find an open seat if you want to stay and eat. The place can get busy at times like around noon, 6pm, 9pm. So you might not find an open seat around that time. Burgers are juicy, flavorful and everything I had imagined. The fries are normal/thin which is my preferred fry choice. I LOVE a good thin fry.

Service was great. Fries are like McDonald's fries so good and the onion rings were good. But the hamburger it self was ok. I got the single patty maybe that was the mistake so it was dry.

Yum yum yum in a nutshell. Shake shack + 7th street got nothing on this place. One of the best smashed burgers out there. Don’t sleep on the chop cheese tacos and the fried pickles. Solid .
