Perfect touristy trap, average quality food for a good location, there are tons of better restaurants nearby! Chicken Tikka was too sweet for taste buds

What happened to this place? Used to be so good and now theres literally nothing unique on the menu and the food tastes just edible. This place used to be great and had super authentic flavours. They even changed the staff- the new ones don’t even know whats in the drink or if the dish has meat or not. So sad to take it off from my ‘favourites’ list.

I hope they improve.

P.S. dont believe the menu and pics here. When you go, they have a completely different menu and presentation

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
The prices listed online are significantly less than the menu prices. The acting manager acknowledged that, but refused to agree to charge the online price. Went elsewhere.

Disgusting staff, pushing out customers while they are still having dinner and servers adding gratuity of 18% on their own without the will to serve…
Happened on 22nd October , 2024 evening by 10.20pm we were ushered out by a very rude male staff.Ruined the experience of an otherwise perfect day in NYC… Would never step foot in it ever again!!!

I celebrated my birthday with my best friend, and we started with aloo tikki chaat and paneer tikka for appetizers, followed by malai kofta and garlic naan for the main course. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff provided excellent service. Towards the end of the meal, my friend surprised me by coordinating with the restaurant staff to celebrate my birthday, making it an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Worst experience in any restaurants in US for the time I have been here. They served food with hair and when we showed it they replaced the food and said this is not human hair. This is supposed to be a good restaurant just off Times Square and this is what they serve. Good luck !

I picked up my order today . No doubt samosas were good but am so disappointed because there was no tamarind chutney even though It was supposed to be with samosas.

I visited this restaurant over the weekend and, unfortunately, it ranks among the lowest in terms of Indian food I’ve tried in New York City. I have yet to find a place that could match this level of disappointment. I ordered takeout, which included chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, and a fish fry, but all of the dishes were substandard. Both the chicken and paneer tikka masala had very few pieces, and the overall quality was poor.

This place is a VIBE! If you like Indian food, you’ll LOVE this place!
The food, service, and atmosphere is Top Tier!
I have very low expectations for anything in Time Square, but this place raised the bar!

This restaurant was the highlight of our NYC trip! Even though it is located just off Time Square, the vibe couldn’t have been more peaceful with EXCELLENT service and the best food we’ve had in the city! Looking forward to coming back next trip!

This is the most overrated place. The prices are extremely high for a less than basic / average menu. First thing first, the menu is very limited and super basic. For the price they charge, the taste of the food was also less than average. The quantity of the food they give seems like they are doing is a favor. They charge rice separately and give in small cup which was hilarious to see. For $20 they give only 4 pieces of average tasting paneer in tikka. The food was all cold by the time we got them. The goat curry had no flavor and no salt. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Go to any other average rated Indian restaurant and chances are you will find better food there than this pretentious upscale place. Also the music was unnecessarily loud. Ambience was not at all up to the price they charge. What a waste of money.

A nice Indian restaurant near Times Square.
Surprisingly the food was good and the ambiance and service was equally good too. They have a bar as well. Recommended For those who really miss Indian cuisine in New York.
