We had a fantastic dinner here. Food was great. You cook it yourself, but the meat is all marinated and tender. Veggies are very good. Staff was very attentive, made reservations, so no wait. Right in the theater district. Great place.

I reserved tables for 25 the day before and the process wasnt necessarily difficult. We had a semi private space with 5 tables and nice atmosphere. The service was amazing and the food was quick to arrive. My table of 6 ordered the largest combo and it was fulling and worth it. It came with a variety of meat, appetizers, and soup. We were also able to roast out marshmallows at the end and make smores :) would come here again!

I have been to gyu-kaku many times, and overall the experience is good. The service can be a bit slow at times, but it is a very popular place. Recently, I got a pork dish instead of beef, and asked a different waiter what meat it was. At this point, some of us had it already. We quickly flagged down our server, and he was super apologetic. Honestly I was really upset and ready to leave, but the way they dealt with it after was excellent. We were able to get new plates, chopsticks,...
