Food was not good. Mandatory 18% tip is disgusting consider they don't even pour you water. If I don't get good service why should I pay you a good tip?

Nothing fancy but good place for some simple HK style dishes.

Went there last night, and the Peking Duck, and the Bao buns were excellent. Along with the sesame noodles. I will go back again.

Great affordable restaurant to try in Chinatown! No reservation required for a group of 6. Just walk in! Food was so calming and delicious. The atmosphere was humble but lively.

Our Chinatown favorite go-to for years !! The vegetable dumplings are packed with veggie mushroom goodness and authentic Cantonese flavor. Also, the roast pork fried rice is srsly the best in NYC, they are especially generous with the pork and other ingredients. Shrimp with lobster sauce is also fantastic.

Be alert to fees you are paying. They added more than 20% of tips for two without disclosing it to you.

20% obligatory tip, after which they will try to force you into paying more tip. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
English barely understandable, but they're happy to repeat it 5 times. Food is plenty and nice.

The service was terrible, and the staff were rude. They kept making subtle gestures, rushing you to leave even though we hadn’t finished eating. Besides, the food was really bad—this was the worst char siu I've ever had! I won’t be coming back and am adding this place to my blacklist.

The food was good but the service was not okay. I know the prices for the food is reasonable for seeking more tips but you can’t force people to give a certain amount of tips on the bill. Service was also bad at some points, especially taking the food when I said don’t take it yet.

HK Wonton Garden is a local business in a sea of expensive upscale Asian restaurants being opened in Chinatown. The menu prices remain affordable, with most noodle soups being $7-$8! I absolutely loved the pork and leek dumpling noodle soup. The soup was light but still flavorful, while the noodles were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend dropping by and checking this place out.

Make sure they charge you the right amount.
26% tip for a $20 meal is too much.
The tip is on your bill. They won’t tell you.
