Morgan, the chef, has prepared a wonderful menu. We were staying in Midtown east and wanted a wonderful lunch. The restaurant is located on the lower level of Saks fifth Avenue.
The small space is decorated tastefully. The food and wine were superb. We love talking to the chef and were interested to hear how she came up with the menu. The service was fabulous and the team did a great job!

Everything was superb! Food quality was excellent and omakase course was incredible for the price. The chef was very kind in responding me and my wife’s questions regarding the course, an amazing host!
I feel I should aware all of you about the review before this one from an arrogant lady called Matt Lyons which claimed having a “Shockingly Terrible Experience”. Without going into much details, it seems this person simply has a superiority complex.
We were the only party seating with her at the bar and she felt that the chef was mostly on our side because her prep area WAS INDEED on our side.
We were being served 1st because she served from left to right, if there were other customers seating on our left, these would’ve been served first, not us.
Yes, as I mentioned in the beginning of this review, the chef answered all our questions, she didn’t answered Ms. Karen’s questions as there weren’t any.
I left this explanation on this review as I left the restaurant feeling real bad for the chef and host which had to deal with such an unpleasant customer who even had the courage of leaving a bad review for such an amazing and professional staff.

Shockingly Terrible Experience. The young chef parked herself towards the end of the table the entirety of our meal, chatting with one party and prioritizing their experience- serving them first, only providing explanations, questions, conversation to them alone and completely ignoring the rest of the diners. It was shockingly inconsiderate and bizarre and awkward. We felt like we were interrupting a private meal.
