What an absolute gem this place is. I can't decide which was better - the food or the service. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a Michelin star type of experience but without the pretentiousness. Cant wait to be back!

Extremely slow. Cheap quality ingredients basically from a can or container. VERY expensive AND only 12 people in the restaurant with 7 people working.

The omnivore tasting menu at Hags is exceptional. The warm Carolina gold rice brioche with warm apple butter to start was the perfect beginning, their yellow corn grits with mushrooms was a dish where I wanted to lick the plate when I was done. The duck course was another outstanding one and I did all this with an inventive wine pairing with offerings I’ve never experienced before that had me snapping photos of bottles as Camille talked passionately about each pour. Now for the desserts, they were each so unbelievably wonderful that I want to return for another dessert tasting (which they do if there’s seats available at the last seating of the night). This restaurant is a must experience in NYC.

Second time in two years and both times have been a knockout. Great food, kind service and great atmosphere. Wine selection is strong, drinks are strong. Highly recommend for a fancy but casual night out that feels like you’re at a friends house

Wonderful all around. Delicious and varied dishes, super fun n/a drinks, friendly service. Not sure what the negative review is on about. Would give 5 stars if I could.
A perfect little jewel box of a restaurant, with such intentional choices for food and wine in both the vegan and omnivore menus. The service was warm, inviting, and inclusive.

The only good vegan fine dining in nyc
loved the vegan tasting menu! it is cool that the main dishes of both tasting menus have the same sauces, toppings, and flavors so you could discuss how it tastes with who you're dining with! even if they order different one than you. the NA drinks were super yummy. based on the website we thought it would be a little funkier or zanier with the decor but we still really liked the vibe in there! staff was friendly!!

Celebrated an anniversary here this week—the food was delicious and the staff are wonderful. Three highlights for me were the vegan cheese course, the caramelized tempeh, and the carrot dessert! They have an excellent wine selection and a beautiful space.

I had the opportunity to experience Hags on October 16 and it far exceeding my expectations. The service was outstanding and the food, we had the vegan plates, was absolutely delicious! Excited to return in the future!

The food and service at HAGS was flawless. The various dishes were delicious and creative. There was perfect timing between the courses. Everything was done with genuine love.
It’s obvious that a tremendous amount of thought and care went into everything — from the menu — to the decor — to the service.
There’s an amazing vegan and omnivore menu. The vegan cheeses and butters are made in-house — and taste incredible.
The kitchen staff accommodated my dietary restrictions — and added a creative flair.
It’s a really cute, queer-owned restaurant. It’s a tiny spot — but everything is very well organized. Everyone feels welcomed, with the full complexity of their identities.
HAGS was perfect in every way. I highly recommend it. 5/5 stars.
