The Mimosa was a lovely place to stay for a trip with friends to NYC. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other people I know. The price was very competitive compared to hotels at a similar level - but what made this place worth it was its excellent standards and wonderful service. We had a warm and genuine welcome on arrival, and each time we returned. The hotel is spotlessly clean, modern, and well maintained. The bedlinen and towels were clean and good quality. A selection of toiletries was provided and it was nice to have the room serviced each day - something I've noticed is becoming rarer, post-covid. While the rooms are not large, they are comparable to European city hotels and others I've stayed in in NYC. The hotel is situated in bustling Chinatown and there are restaurants, breakfast places and bars all in walking distance. It felt safe and as others have commented, despite being direct neighbours with Manhattan railway Bridge, you can hear NOTHING inside the hotel! One thing to keep in mind - the illuminated front entrance is actually on Eldridge Street, at the intersection with Division Street so our taxi driver had difficulty (no GPS / satnav). You might want to check the map before arrival.

We had a great experience staying here! The recommendations were amazing, and the staff were so welcoming. The area and so many great spots to eat and was easy to walk to SoHo and nearby subway stations. Our flight also got delayed and they let us keep our luggage there while we got to explore the city more. Overall, an amazing stay!

Nice establishment for Chinatown area. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Couldn’t have asked for better experience! Loved their recommendations for places to eat and front desk clerks were super helpful. Will definitely stay here again if I ever go back to NYC.

Hotel was in the perfect location to explore Chinatown and close to metros to explore various parts of NYC. Hotel staff was extremely courteous & friendly, plus they provide guests with several lists of restaurants to visit, if you didn’t do your research ahead of time. Definitely recommend Hotel Mimosa! I will be coming back to stay here.

Hotel Mimosa is conveniently placed in Chinatown, only a few blocks from the heart of the area. The service was delightful and the staff expedited a room clean since I showed up an hour and a half early. The staff was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area, even going so far as to provide print-outs with recommended restaurants! The rooms are small but quiet and cool which was a godsend considering the average temperature was 95 degrees during my stay. A small fridge for the room would've been nice but the rooms are small enough as is and I don't think they can accommodate a mini-fridge. For a solo weekend trip, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great small hotel. Very good pricing, polite and helpful staff and quiet and comfortable basic rooms. Located in Chinatown, one of New York City's still iconic neighborhoods with easy subway access to the rest of the city.

Great location near subway and eateries. The room I stayed in and bathroom that I used was a fine size for a solo traveler with enough space. For the most part it was neat and tidy. There were some small stains in the carpet and on one of my towels, but to me they were negligible. One of my towels had a strong smell of bleach, but this was not really a big concern to me either. I do think that if I had asked, the staff would have switched it out. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. You can feel that they really want to make your stay great and try their best to meet your expectations. I was given many lists of great eateries in the area. They varied in price and had a lot of variety. My room faced the road and Manhattan bridge. You can tell the hotel has put in efforts to greatly reduce the noise. For those who have no trouble sleeping with a fan or AC on, there should be no problem with the noise level. For light sleepers, the rumbling from the train will be noticeable. The hotel runs on central air so you cannot entirely control the temperature of your room. There is a remote control for additional fans but no way to raise the temperature besides wearing more clothing yourself. There is a shared space with microwave, vending machine, hot water and cups, and refrigerator at the lower level. The space is kept neat and clean. Overall a really great experience to stay at this hotel and I do think I would return.

Not bad for $3.

WOW! if you never ate here, give it a try. The food brings back childhood memories of the restaurant on Division St. If you are from around the neighborhood you know which restaurant. But wow the food here is the same or better. The dumplings were so good I forgot to take a picture. The rolls are so big you can share the other with a friend. This place is definitely a gem in Chinatown.
