Good but not as good as two years ago. Too much salt. Less variety.

They were sold out of most of the soups. I waited for the Turkey pesto avocado sandwich the manager said they were preparing then when she finally brings it its a wrap she aaid she forgot to let us know it wasn't a sandwich.

6 dollars for a small soup non fancy ... you joking ?! Can't imagine what the price of the medium is?!

Nice place for lunch

Good Soups, but sandwich selection sucks and they can't even toast your sandwich for you.

Usually i'm pretty satisfied with their soups and salads, but they sometimes offer stale bread to go with it. Please note (who ever runs this place) bread has a lifetime of ONE day in the bakery and restaurant business. So please update your process accordingly.

The Summary: Atmosphere - 2/5 Neighborhood - 4/5 Staff - 3/5 Food - 3/5 Drink - N/A Inclusivity - 4/5 Experience - 3/5 The Story: A solid & reliable choice for lunch. Especially since it's so cold, I'd recommend coming here for one of their great soups. I had the chicken & dumplings - the soup hit the spot but the taste wasn't something to rave about. The interior can be confusing in its layout (where you stand in line versus where you stand to pay), so it would be great if management figured out a better way to organize the many customers they receive. This is perfectly in the Financial District, so come here if you need to get out of the office for a bit. I'd like to go back to explore their other soup options, but don't think that this location is free of the hectic pace outside. Just order your food, grab, and go.

If you got food poisoning from this place on 12/06/18, go ahead and smack that like button like it was the toilet bowl flusher.

I ordered online and I think this is more preferable than ordering in person. Lines are long and confusing. I ordered their combo Soup and Salad for a total $10.89. I ordered the avocado Goddess salad and the lentil Chilli soup. Let me tell you that the portions are very large, especially the salad. I was so full just from the soup and bread. It's a lot of quality ingredients used for both the soup and salad. The salad here is also comparably better than its neighbor, Just Salad, and cheaper. Will come again when I am feeling under the weather and need something warm like their hearty soups.

Coming into this store I was given the impression of something phenomenal and spectacular to come out of my soup. But after I ordered some Homestyle Mac & Cheese, all I got was some Ice cream looking blob, that was just basically Mac and cheese with big blocks of cheese. Not only that the lady at the counter was staring at me and giving me the stink eye as if I was a lunatic in her shop. I am very disappointed in the quality of the food and service that Hale and Hearty seems to have.

I have been remiss in not mentioning earlier that H&H some time ago removed the "administrative fee." I don't know for certain but I would guess they lost a good deal of business while the fee was in place. Whatever their motivation, I'm glad they finally did the right thing and discontinued the egregious fee. The food is still expensive - my standard half-sandwich and large soup typically cost $16.86 including tip - but I've happily gone back to ordering delicious soups from H&H (their newer, more substantial seasonal sandwiches are yummy, too).

Nothing against this store in particular, it's ALL hale and Haearty's! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PUT PANCETTA IN YOUR CLAM CHOWDER SOUP? So that half the population can't have it? Is that why? And then the other half that can have pork are now having a clam chowder soup with gross fat clogging their veins. Can we just have good all plain clam chowder please.

Not a whole lot of soup for a medium. But the additional sourdough bread filled me up. The soup was good. Ok for a super quick lunch
