We were blown away by how good the sushi was here! We've eaten a lot of sushi in many different cities know for sharing sushi and we think this was the best we've ever had! The service was amazing and so quick!

We needed a quick dinner spot by Grand Central, and this was it. Nice staff, but eh food for the most part.
From best to eh-est:
- Salmon Avocado Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Scallop Roll: Maki pieces are slightly larger than average and you generally get 8 pieces per maki, so this is the best bang for your buck
- Crab Roll: They were out of lobster, which made me cry crustacean tears, but this wasn't bad and the crab meat was at least real
- Salmon Nigiri, Unagi Nigiri, Scallop Nigiri, Shrimp Nigiri, Tuna Nigiri, Yellowtail Nigiri, Albacore Nigiri: About as exciting as nigiri gets, but at least you're not paying $20 per piece to call it "omakase" (*eyerolls in poor*)
- Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna: Too-hard rice meets too-bland tuna for a mouth experience that's the taste equivalent of a 1999 Toyota Corolla
- Edamame: Dunno why this was served ice cold and devoid of any seasoning. If it doesn't come free with one of their combos, don't bother ordering this a la carte unless you love wasting money
Also, the decor is lovely for a casual dinner, though the plant mama in me cried when I realized all the houseplants were fake.

It's an enlightening dining experience at Happy Tuna. The atmosphere and interior are homey and fun (there's a rainbow bar and interactive screens!). The food is affordable, fresh, and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find they even offer desserts, cocktails, and sake. If you're around Grand Central, check it out!

The place was empty when we came, which then we understood why.
Really lousy sushi, the fish are plain and tasteless. The rice doesn’t stick and the menu is very dull.
