This place has been clutch as I've transitioned to the neighborhood. Service is friendly and fast, and I've enjoyed most of the items I've ordered (hot sandwiches, customized entrees). I hope I can continue to count on it to be a reliable staple in my times of need. Chicken paninis are my favorite so far. Fried or grilled, especially with pesto. A super solid bougie bodega.
Alright, I got to visit New York for the first time this week. I tried a lot of food spots and took a lot of local recommendations. However, nothing compared to this little bodega by my hotel. I do not know how they do it, but this small spot in the Bronx produces some of the best food I have ever had. And its super affordable. The food is amazing. Look and feel of store is welcoming. But make sure to check your receipt before leaving the store. The new guy cashier (not owner or family) charged me for an extra item I didn't not have at the counter, and I didn't realize it till I got home. Wasn't going back out. But from now on, I will be more aware of this, and everyone else should as well.
