A must-visit restaurant if you live on the Upper Eastside or just visiting the area. The food is consistently great. I love the pork knuckle and the wiener schnitzel. Most of the staff are friendly and attentive, but I have had a couple of bad experiences with one of the waiters....although the amazing quality of the food helps me look past the occasional poor service. Overall a really nice place for a family meal or to catch up with friends over a beer and some great food.
My wife and I really enjoyed this place. The Jager schnitzel was tasty and the fried ham shank was delicious. The wine and beer selection was great and our server was fantastic. We will definitely be back!
Really disappointed with the Wiener Schnitzel. Not authentic at all—our veal was super tough and it looked as though it had been deep fried, instead of pan fried. The breading was completely detached from the cutlet and rippled when it came out. If you know authentic German food, skip this place.
