Things have changed tremendously at this place. I love that everyone is so comfortable to be themselves but my experience at karaoke last night was not one for the books.

My friends and I are so unbelievably lucky to have had the staff at Henrietta Hudson’s on a particularly difficult night. While dealing with an emergency situation the staff were so extremely nonjudgemental, assistive, straight forward and supportive. My friend and I helping our other friend had initial fears that we would be a nuisance to the bar and they would quite literally kick us to the curb. They did nothing of the sort, instead staying by our side and helping us through the situation. I truly cannot thank the folks here enough — queer spaces are safe spaces.

Fun, lovely people. Just a little too crowded.
Great queer bar. The staff and clientele are friendly and easy to talk to.
This is the first bar that came and took my bar stool that I was sitting on telling me it was standing room only. Poor business model. Not enough bar tenders. Can’t keep up. Disappointing. Lesbians should be better represented. Sad!

Play at your own risk 😁😁😁 Thursday's Latin night pretty cool 😎😎😎
One of my favorite queer scenes! The bartenders are amazing, the space is inclusive and safe.

I as a trans man was asked to leave this bar because I was making others uncomfortable with my presence, based on nothing other than being a masc presenting individual. I understand and appreciate the important of lesbian/ women spaces, but don’t advertise as a queer bar if you aren’t going to be inclusive of trans people!!

I went in and sat down when they opened. I was served and it was decent. But then once a few other ladies came in I was left out of the conversation with the bartender and others and felt really unwelcomed. I was excited to visit because I wanted to feel like I fit in once in my life.
But instead I had one 13 dollar drink and stayed for an hour that saw me get more depressed with each minute until I cried in the bathroom and gathered my composure to leave. I tried several lesbian bars that evening and felt so alone and it made me feel suicidal. Ironically the bartender had no problem talking to the attractive younger cis ladies about how New Yorkers are direct and that made them more fun and accepting.
The server served me and checked in on me so I can't fault them on that. But in one hour I went from happy to miserable. So much for the community.

Great drinks !
This place is way better than Cubby Hole. The DJ situation could certainly improve though. The transitions were too frequent and some songs were just not great dancing songs
no room to dance, obviously y’all don’t have a cap… $13 for a cocktail that was in a 4 oz that had maybe a drop of liquor in it. and only one bartender on a saturday night? crazy. music was straight. left within an hour bc you can’t even really move inside. boring. don’t be surprised when it says lesbian bar & then girls start bringing in their boyfriends later.

Drinks are miniature
On my most recent - and final-visit, Liv wanted to charge me $13 for a glass of margarita during happy hour even though a full pitcher was $14. This pricing felt unreasonable & when I pointed it out they threw a fit. It created an awkward and uncomfortable exchange.
