I've been coming here since 2021, but I feel like the service and quality of food has gone down considerably. My hayashi rice was too too sweet, and the batter for the karaage was different (and not in a good way). Our waiters were present, but not friendly the way they used to be. We were also rushed out of our seats after we paid the bill. Sadly, I do not think I'll be returning.
Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff. Omurice was perfect, coffee was very cool (tasted OK), coffee jelly was lacking sweetness and a bit too bitter. The bathrooms also have Japanese toilets :0
It's sneaky hard to find a great yoshoku-style cafe/izakaya even in Tokyo, so it's amazing to have one here in NYC (finally)!! Their attention to detail and original twist were so appreciated.
It's not exactly cheap, but yoshoku is always on the pricey side, even in Japan, and this is NYC after all.
