Excellent Original cheese tart!! So good, buttery crust, cookie like, nothing too sweet. Loved it. The Black Sesame needs more black sesame flavor though. Really love this place. 5 stars for that original flavor! But 3 stars for black sesame unfortunately.

As a lover of Japanese pastries and sweets, I was excited to visit this spot in Manhattan. However, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. While the treats looked visually appealing, unfortunately, two out of the three items we tried were a miss.
We ordered a pistachio cream-filled croissant with strawberries and a square-shaped pistachio dessert (I can't recall the name). We love pistachio, so we were really hoping for the best. Sadly, the cream in both tasted overwhelmingly artificial – a big letdown.
On a positive note, the small Sakura orange cake was quite delicious. It had a lovely balance of flavors and a delightful texture.
The ambiance of the place wasn't very inviting. It's more of a grab-and-go setup, with a small counter and two chairs facing the street, and a long, seatless communal table. It's not a place that encourages you to linger. The staff's attitude didn't help either – they weren't particularly friendly or welcoming.

Where’s the long white hair guy? We need him back.
I don’t know how long it’s been since he left, but every time I come I can’t even get an extra hot cappuccino without the milk tasting burnt.

Got a trio: Original, Egg Brulee, and Ube. The original was my favorite. Silky smooth and sweet.

The early Grey croissant sandwich is sweet and flavorful. The matcha croissant is interesting because the cream inside is not very sweet like a true matcha flavor but the matcha icing and the crunchy bits on top are sweet so the balance when eaten together are great. Staff was helpful. answered my questions and packed up the desserts well.

The baked cheese tart was pretty decent—not great, but not bad either. Satisfying enough, but nothing to rave about.

Oh, Hokkaido 🍩, the land where pastries are more photogenic than tasty 📸🍰. I gave you four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, which, let's be real, is like giving a half-hearted 'I do' 🙄 at a shotgun wedding 💒. Your team? More in love with themselves 😘 than with the actual baking 🧑🍳. It's not the end of the world 🌍, but it sure feels like a betrayal when the éclairs look like they're straight out of a fairy tale 🧚♀️💭 but taste like they've been sitting in one too long 🕰️.
I tried, I really did. Three visits 🔄🔄🔄, each with the hope that maybe, just maybe, the love was there but just shy. Nope. Each time, the pastries were as underwhelming as a groom forgetting his vows 🙈💔. Three strikes and you're out ⚾️ in the bakery world, my friends, but hey, four stars is still better than three, right? A pity clap for effort 👏, because I wanted to support you, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart 🧀, like I'd want to believe in love at first sight 👀❤️. But alas, the hype outshined the substance 🌟✨. Here's to hoping you find your flavor 🌱, because four stars in the wedding of culinary delights 💍🍽️ is just not the fairy tale ending I was hoping for.

During my visit, I got a set of three tarts: the egg brûlée, ube, and pandan. They were all buttery, creamy, and just the right level of sweetness. I really appreciated that they weren’t too dense, and the crust had a nice flaky texture. I’d love to come back and try more flavors!
