The home kitchen lives up to it's came. A restaurant with a home neighborhood feel. It was a humid evening, the AC on the restaurant works great. We ordered blue point oysters, which were as fresh as could be. My son got a grilled cheese with fries, it's seldom that a restaurant gets the fries properly crispy, they nailed it. Their famous dishes were the chicken pot pie and short rib. The chicken pot pie was the best I've ever had. They used thigh meat, which makes all the difference. They also used fresh, not frozen peas and carrots. The pungent celery taste hits you in the face, which I liked. The short rib, was cooked in a wine sauce, reduced nicely. The rib was tender, juicy and flavorful, accompanied by excellent mashed potatoes. Our servers were very pleasant, they contributed to the vibe of the place. Too bad we don't live in the area, I would be here often.

Worst service we’ve experienced in New York. We were treated extremely poorly by a waiter — with indifference, rudeness, and complete lack of respect for the customer. A negative experience we definitely do not recommend.

Just a waste of money. We had the fish and chips and they tasted like a store-bought, frozen-aisle kids meal. New York prices for frozen food quality. A disappointment, really.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! The classic American food here is delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and laidback with a family friendly vibe. Plus the customer service is excellent. Probably the best in the city. I came in with my wife and child and Peter and his team were super accommodating. This is sure to be a local favorite.

A hidden gem in the upper east side decently priced compared to the $100+ places that dominate the area. The French onion soup seems to be a crowd favorite, and it definitely lives up to the hype. Very flavorful and not too salty. We got the roasted chicken for the second time in a row, and the cobb salad and latke were pretty good. The place overall was very homey and the service very warm.

Was longing for meatloaf during our visit to New York and found this hidden gem tucked away in one of the alleys. Sergio our server was friendly and service was great. Food was good, maybe not how I thought meat would be but it was great and loved the flavors.

My food was EXTREMELY AVERAGE yet TREMENDOUSLY OVERPRICED!!! It was TWENTY-FIVE dollars for bland meatloaf that comes with NO SIDES! I ordered mashed potatoes & corn to complete the meal at a HEAFTY price and the potatoes were bland and tasted boxed and watery not fresh creamy buttery at all! The corn was just bland corn cut off the cob with tons of stringy corn fibers throughout! I thought the hefty price and good reviews would mean I’d have a GREAT MEAL. It was just average and bland!
