The home kitchen lives up to it's came. A restaurant with a home neighborhood feel. It was a humid evening, the AC on the restaurant works great. We ordered blue point oysters, which were as fresh as could be. My son got a grilled cheese with fries, it's seldom that a restaurant gets the fries properly crispy, they nailed it. This restaurant is a hidden gem! The classic American food here is delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and laidback with a family friendly vibe. Plus the customer service is excellent. Probably the best in the city. I came in with my wife and child and Peter and his team were super accommodating. This is sure to be a local favorite.
A hidden gem in the upper east side decently priced compared to the $100+ places that dominate the area. The French onion soup seems to be a crowd favorite, and it definitely lives up to the hype. Very flavorful and not too salty. We got the roasted chicken for the second time in a row, and the cobb salad and latke were pretty good. The place overall was very homey and the service very warm.
