About Hong an

Hong An is a unique and specialized restaurant that has been serving delightful tofu-based dishes for almost a century. Originally a family-run tofu-making business, this establishment has evolved to meet modern tastes while maintaining its traditional roots.

The menu features a variety of sweet and savory tofu puddings, each with toppings that enhance the experience. Customers can enjoy classic brown sugar sauce or try the spicy savory version or ginger sauce for a twist. The tofu puddings are creamy, melty, and perfectly balanced in flavor, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The tofu tastes super fresh and light, making it a go-to for tofu lovers.

In addition to the tofu puddings, Hong An offers fresh soy milk, sticky rice cakes, and tofu blocks for customers to take home. The rice cakes are also delicious and a great value. The restaurant has efficient service and a cozy, trendy atmosphere that creates a welcoming ambiance for takeout customers.

While the menu may not be the cheapest in Chinatown, the solid portions and high-quality offerings justify the price for those seeking an authentic tofu experience. With its blend of traditional and modern elements, Hong An continues to captivate customers with its delectable tofu-based delights, making it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates real soy milk and tofu.

I grew up eating Chinese food daily. I eat tofu a lot. Fong On has the freshest and most delicious tofu I’ve ever had.

Freshest tofu around. It’s fun to watch tofu being made. A pristine shop. If you grew up eating soft tofu, you will be in heaven. I love the savory with spicy toppings. Absolutely exquisite. And we also got sweet tofu as takeout dessert. It’s a nice walk through Chinatown to get to Fong On. I want to try the rice cakes next!

Ridiculous i got a sweet tofu fa and a rice cake plus a soy milk, when i get home~~~|they did not give me the soymilk in the paper bag Wtf
