Hudson Eats - From a Culinary Gem to a Fading Memory

Back in 2017-2019, Hudson Eats was truly a gem of New York’s food scene. It was a food hall filled with every type of high-quality cuisine you could imagine, bustling with people and brimming with gourmet options. It was a go-to spot, a food court elevated with all kinds of upscale, curated food choices. I remember vividly one of the best burgers I ever had there in 2019—a meal that stayed with me and made me eager to return for that same experience.

However, my recent visit was a disappointment. The vibrant atmosphere has faded, and the once-packed counters now seem quiet and sparse. Many of the mini-markets and stalls have closed down, leaving a noticeable gap in the variety and quality of options. The steak section, once filled with a rich assortment of cuts and dishes, now feels empty. Even the burger that I remembered so fondly has lost its charm, tasting lackluster compared to the memory.

Seeing Hudson Eats change like this is disheartening. What was once a hub of excitement and top-tier flavors now feels like a shadow of its former self. It’s sad to see such a once-thriving spot lose its appeal.

This is a really nice place to eat! The food court inside offers a lot of good affordable food: bagels, Mexican, salad bowls, ect. It also has lots off nice seating next to the windows. Outside there are some charming restaurants along with additional seating as shown in the pictures. ( The pictures don’t do it justice)I very much recommend this place when eating out with friends!

Best spot with modern-scaled food courts and panoramic views nestled in the in the New Downtown would recommend to family and friends.

This is a fantastic casual space for food. The 15 restaurants are extremely high quality and fantastic array of eating. The lines are long at lunch so try at 1pm or 11:30am. The seafood bowls are spectacular. The salads great, and the rest are an array of Mexican to Peruvian. And the seating is the best of anything in New York - indoors; in the winter garden; or on the waterfront in seating or benches. There is nothing like it !!!

I loved the selection from Naya in this mall. I’m so happy my friend told me about Hudson Eats because we wanted to eat before going to the museum. My salad from Naya was delicious.

STYLISH FOOD COURT WITH NYC STAPLES AND CHEF-DRIVEN OFFERINGS

Located above Le District, with marble tables and views over the Hudson River to Jersey City, this is a pretty special foot court.

I always visit Mighty Quinn’s BBQ, but there are many and varied choices from 12 other stands: pizza to cupcakes, bagels to sushi and soups to sandwiches.
