The tasting menu started off strong with some delicious bites. However I felt the final meat courses fell flat. The atmosphere was also a bit quiet and awkward with the music (which I liked) stopping for a good 5-10 seconds in between songs. We had two good cocktails and two not good cocktails.
Overall, I thought the food was good but not super memorable. I’m glad we went but I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t give it a rave review to others.

Went for the early seating menu tasting. From check in to departure, we felt welcome. Service was an easy flow, with the whole staff working together, not just one server per table. This was a nice touch. We ordered cocktails but then chose the non-alcoholic pours to go with each course. This was an unexpected pleasure. Each table is individually invited downstairs to tour the kitchen and meet Chef Buddha Lo (chef’s schedule permitting). Chef Lo was very welcoming and personable. He runs his kitchen according to the traditional French brigade style, which is very impressive. As to the food itself, it was difficult to name favorites. So much care and attention to detail! Dining style here is definitely elevated, but never stuffy or pretentious, as evidenced by the final course being eaten with one’s hands. Michelin Star was well earned here. Chef Buddha Lo and his team deserve all the success for which they have striven. Will be back for more when the menu changes!

Huso is my new favorite restaurant in NYC, and the finest overall dining experience I’ve had in nearly 19 years of living here and eating at the very best. From start to finish, the evening was pure perfection. The ambiance was serene and beautiful — like a high-end spa — setting the tone for a meal that was as thoughtful as it was exceptional.

The 10+ course tasting menu was exquisite, highly original, and perfectly portioned; unlike most prix fixe meals, I left feeling neither hungry nor overfull. While the entire meal was one collective standout, the egg and lobster with caviar, scallop with sunchoke and kombucha, beef with mushroom and périgord, and the grape, Sauternes, and olive oil palate cleanser were especially memorable. The flavors were unusual, precise, and utterly flawless. Pacing was spot on throughout.

Now, onto the service, which was not merely excellent but genuinely rare. Every interaction was intuitive, seamless, and perfectly calibrated: warm but professional, polished without stiffness, attentive without intrusion. The staff anticipated needs before they arose and executed each moment with calm confidence and absolute precision. It was, quite simply, the most refined and enjoyable service experience I have ever had, anywhere. I regret not noting every name, but I want to give special thanks to Gurman, Holly, and Madeline, each of whom exemplified this standard. You are all outstanding at what you do — thank you so much!

An unexpected highlight was a tour of the kitchen, which is itself stunning (and immaculately clean). Getting to watch Buddha Lo and his team in their element was a privilege and underscored just how much intention and craft sits behind every course. Additional Michelin recognition feels inevitable, and I already can’t wait to return for the spring menu.

Delayed reviewed as I dined here in Sept. 2025 for my birthday. And it blew away all expectations. The decor, ambiance, experience - some of the best in the city by far. Can't wait to see how far this place will go. Every single dish was amazing and fun. This place has found the perfect balance between fine dining experience and fun (not overall stuffy but still refined). We got to visit the kitchen and say hello to Chef Buddha and saw the private dining room + wine cellar. Such a great restaurant that we recommended close friends to go and they loved it too. We want to go back with our friends too. Amazing and such a treat. You won't be disappointed.

Food simply misses the mark. Pretty to look at, no substance when consumed. Excessive supplements.

Absolutely stunning. This young man is a rock star & his staff are perfect. Deserves more than 1 star. Spectacular food & such a fun, special atmosphere. Decor is gorgeous. Wine pairings were impeccable & unexpected. We can’t wait to return for their next menu (they change often). Just great, in every single way.

The food is as good as you would expect from Chef Buddha Lo, and the attention to detail on service is absolutely incredible. Great advanced communication to confirm allergies, very attentive staff on refilling drinks, and some really nice and thoughtful touches such as inviting us downstairs to the kitchen to meet Chef Buddha and taking our picture (a Polaroid, which they eventually gave to us with our check), and a deconstructed Ferrero Rocher that looked like caviar and arrived in a Huso caviar tin with a candle as we were celebrating my wife.

The attention to detail on both food and service is why Huso just got a well-deserved star, with more to come. So happy to see Chef Buddha’s hard work pay off for him and his team.

We are big fans of Chef Buddha and had dined at the old Huso location uptown before their move to Tribeca. While the new restaurant is beautiful, same with the food, we found the courses to be a bit too fussy and flavors muted. Many of the courses tasted good but nothing exceptional, and the dessert and sweets were average. We were a bit disappointed by the food, maybe because we had such high expectations. We did not enjoy the non-alcoholic pairing. We were hoping for more creative mocktail like pairings that we had at other similar Michelin star restaurants.

We had dinner in the private dining room downstairs with a nice view of the kitchen. The service was great with a friendly and professional staff. Overall, we had a good dining experience here and will come back for another try when there's a new menu.

This is a Michelin restaurant, not some seat yourself bbq place. If you don’t have enough space to accommodate all the guests you want, then don’t overbook and then try to squeeze in two shifts for each table. This is also not the omakase style while the chefs prepare in front of you so that you get your each course right away. Here the servers bring your plates and it takes time. This so called “captain” on duty last night rushed us out of our table because “there are two more groups of people waiting outside to get seated and eat”, and he also claimed “every restaurant in New York requires guests to finish their meal in 3 hours”. It was our friend’s birthday last night, we had another friend coming over after our desserts were served, who just wanted to sit down with us and say happy birthday to the birthday guest. We were refused to get an extra chair for him, and we were then told that our time dining there was up and we “had to go”!!???!!! I just can’t believe what I was hearing. That guy responsible for seating should be fired due to his lack of respect to people and his absolutely no sense of decency. Announcing a strict three-hour limit during meal was tactless and socially graceless, especially for what’s meant to be a fine-dining experience.. It came off as embarrassingly unrefined. Just unbelievable.

Just amazing- one of the best meals of my entire life, if not the best.

Huso was probably the most special meal I’ve ever had. It truly felt like an experience from start to finish. The food was incredibly unique, elegant, and complex, with nothing feeling like an afterthought. Every course was beautifully prepared and memorable, making it impossible to choose a single favorite. The staff were exceptional, and I especially appreciated the kitchen tour and the chance to talk with Chef Buddha Lo. The food was unlike anything I’ve had before, and the entire evening truly special.
