I’ve eaten in every single Michelin star restaurant in New York, and this is definitely top 5 maybe even top 3. Every dish lifted me up into the heavens and their service was impeccable!

welcoming, tasty, surprising, fantastic, underrated, this is everything i expect from a french fine dining restaurant. exceptional food, very friendly and polite attendants, kitchen tour and chat w the chef, warm atmosphere. very well balanced taste both the food and with the pairing. simply perfect, the place is kinda small but cute, def deserves two star or three star michelin.

My friend and I were in NYC for a week and Huso topped our list of restaurants to try being familiar with Chef Lo's wins on Top Chef. We were both blown away by the space, service and food.

The space is beautiful and intimate with impeccable appointments around the room. We had the Fall 2025 tasting menu with caviar supplement and wine pairing. Every dish was beautifully presented, innovative (without being weird) and delicious. Chef Lo had intrigued me with the flavor combinations in his Top Chef competition dishes and he did not disappoint us with this menu.

My personal favorite (a hard choice out of so many delicious bites) was the quail with trumpet mushroom. The meat was delicate & juicy; the mushroom dense and rich; and combined into perfect bites.

I must, also, call out the service which was absolutely perfect. Both our waitress and sommelier were extremely attentive and engaged and supported by runners that were both at-the-ready and unobtrusive. What was most impressive was how perfectly they were able to combine engaging with us about the food, wine and overall restaurant while being quick without the slightest indication of being rushed.

Our meal was served at precisely the correct pacing. My companion and I were never rushed to complete a course nor waiting for the next course to arrive. A nearby table looked to be equally serviced even though their pacing was slightly faster. This shows how well the wait staff were communicating with the kitchen to fire courses for different tables. Even when an 8-top was seated across the restaurant during our meal, service did not falter at all. Having dined at multiple very fine dining establishments around the world, this service was second to none.

Finally, the kitchen tour was the culmination of our evening. Chef Lo took time to speak with us, inquire which dish we liked best and take a photo.

We ate at Huso the week before the 2025 Michelin announcement. The following week Huso and Chef Lo received a well deserved Michelin star. Congratulations to the entire team. I look forward to returning for another fantastic experience.

We had a fabulous intimate experience at Huso. Having watched Chef Buddha on Top Chef, we were already fans and were looking forward to the meal.

The service team was excellent and the food was fabulous and it all exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed meeting the Chef and he was so relaxed and engaging. Made our anniversary even more special.

Each dish is meticulous and delicious. We enjoyed the flavors.

What a wonderful dining experience, truly what fine dining should mean. Every course was so complex, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. Almost everything was 1 bite beside the main which were 2-3 haha and all the components worked together to deliver a perfect complex flavor. For the main course of venison I ate a piece of venison by itself and it was great, but when I ate it with all the components on the plate together the flavor completely changed??? I have been a long time of Chef Buddha from watching Top Chef and knowing he is the goat and this experience has certainly lived up to and exceeded that.
Besides the food itself the dining exp as a whole has been very carefully curated. I feel like chef Buddha really tried to think from the perspective of the diner to maximize their enjoyment. Little touches include a very smooth entrance and coat storage, no menu at the beginning besides optional add ons but you get the printed menu at the end as a souvenir(truly a trust the chef meal), and a heated sink in the bathroom??? Never seen that before.
Only suggestion is that I thought the bathroom door was a slide but it was a push so I felt pretty dumb.
However besides the food and beautiful dining room and experience the highlight of the night was without a doubt getting to go downstairs for a kitchen tour and meet Chef Buddha!!!! The hostess will come ask you at some point near the end of your dinner. This blew my mind that he would make the time to meet every guest and we had a small conversation with him while enjoying a bonus little drink! I was too star struck to properly chat so my husband did most of the talking, I was just staring at his face. He then posed for a lot of pictures with us that the staff helped us take and they have a Polaroid that they also give you as a gift!!!! That’s going up on the fridge or on the wall for sure.
At the end of the night they also presented us with an anniversary gift of “caviar” tiramisu in a caviar tin, I love the little puns he does.
Was blown away by the detail and work that went into every dish. Price is 265 pp so buckle up but worth every penny. They just got one Michelin star which is well deserved but I wouldn’t be suprised if they upgrade to 3 at some point.
I’ll be back to try the other seasonal menus 😭😭

What a gorgeous new space! Intimate dining room set up well for perfectly orchestrated service. Tasting menu rotates seasonally and there is the option of white truffle and/or caviar pairings with corresponding courses. Great space to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. There is a private dining space downstairs near the kitchen. We appreciated the nods to the original space at Marky’s Caviar.

Here’s an insider tip: start your meal with traditional caviar service and Huso Huso (Beluga caviar you won’t find anywhere else in the US, at least not legally). Every course thereafter starts from that beginning time of diving indulgence and delight. The staff are also so knowledgeable and approachable and there are some sweet surprises along the way! Can spot Michelin coming from a mile away and they absolutely deserve it. Chef and team are extremely talented balancing expert techniques (quail stuffed with chicken under the skin?!) with impeccable attention to detail (we love the special custom woodwork)! Can’t wait to be back 👏

We visited Huso last night to celebrate our anniversary after a friend recommended it, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, but what made the evening unforgettable was the entire experience. Every detail at this restaurant is so thoughtfully curated.

The chef personally invited us downstairs for a kitchen tour, introduced himself, and asked about our experience — such a warm and personal touch. His creativity in combining flavors and textures is remarkable, and the presentation of each course was stunning. The quality of the caviar was outstanding, and the large selection of non-alcoholic beverages was a wonderful and unexpected surprise. We will definitely come back for more.

We celebrated two birthdays at Huso a few weeks ago. It was a very special evening. This exceptional restaurant is intimate without being intimidating. The food was exquisitely presented and delicious. The beverage pairings complemented the dishes beautifully. It was a treat to meet Chef Buddha and visit the kitchen. He and his staff were warm, personable and professional. They went the extra mile to make our birthday celebrations even more memorable with special desserts and signed cards from Chef Buddha himself. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to make return visits in the future. It truly shines and stands out among the best fine dining restaurants in NYC.

It was phenomenal. 12 courses with paired wine that were all perfect sized and full of flavor. I was quite full by the end of the dinner and so incredibly happy to have the opportunity to taste the variety of flavors presented. The staff was kind and answered all of our questions. Most importantly… we met Chef Buddha! He invited all guests to his kitchen and asked us if we had any questions for him or the other chefs. He was so kind and we were just starstruck. Wish we knew we were going to meet him, as we have so many questions now! Would recommend for a super special dinner to remember.

If I could give Huso 100 stars I would. I've eaten at a lot of great restaurants, but this one is my favorite so far. The overall experience is incomparable. The food is as inventive and delicious as you would expect from a two-time winner of Top Chef, but the service is just as amazing. The setting is intimate and comfortable and not at all stuffy. The wine pairing with the tasting menu is unique and exquisite and really helps bring out all the amazing flavors. We also got to meet Chef Buddha and though I was probably a bit starstruck, he was as kind and welcoming as I could have imagined. The menu changes seasonally so you might not ever get the same thing, but it doesn't matter because everything is so good! I've included photos of our menu and each of the courses in the order presented.
