E-MO Reviews
decent kimbap, no frills, slightly on the more expensive side which is forgivable considering its convenient location. i had the spicy tuna and added perilla leaves ($1 extra charge), but could barely see or taste the perilla leaves. cash only.
Cash only kimbop place in NY. There’s no tax either if I remember correctly. I ordered to Bol-go-gi Kimbop and it was great. Highly recommend this place if you’re in NY Koreantown.
I was just passing through in K-Town and had to stop by here again. This is my second time coming here thanks to a friend’s recommendation. Its a small walk in shop so if it gets busy it gets a bit cramped, no place to sit. It’s a grab and go style shop.

E-MO is a cozy, cash-only Korean restaurant in Koreatown that specializes in delicious, freshly-made kimbap (Korean rolled sushi). The menu features classic favorites like eel, spicy crab, and spicy tuna kimbap, as well as bulgogi kimbap. While the prices may be a bit higher, the food is always hand-rolled and tasty, making it a great option for a quick lunch or takeout. The walk-up setup is perfect for families, as no utensils are needed.
Customers praise the fast service, fresh ingredients, and wide variety of kimbap options. The Beef Bulgogi Kimbap, a thin marinated beef roll, is a popular choice. Reviewers also recommend the Bulgogi, Veggie, and Spicy Tuna kimbap, noting the generous serving sizes. The kind and friendly staff add to the overall positive experience.
Despite being a small, no-frills establishment, E-MO is a local favorite for its high-quality, made-to-order kimbap. The cash-only policy and lack of seating area may be inconvenient for some, but the focus on providing a quick, delicious meal makes it a great spot for a Koreatown food fix.
