I went for my birthday (on a Tuesday) and this place did not disappoint. From the entrance to the exit the staff is very attentive or everyone's needs. The plates were picked up promptly and the ambiance overall is dark classy chill. The best part is definitely the food. For our appetizers we had the truffle mushroom bao buns which were shaped like a mushroom so cute and delicious. We also had the vegetable spring rolls which are a must have! Recently Updated: Hutong’s new Northern Dim Sum Tasting Menu and their creative drink selection have once again solidified its status as one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in NYC. The menu, a bold reimagining of traditional dim sum with Northern Chinese flavors, features standout dishes like Wagyu Beef & Black Truffle Siu Mai and Crispy Crab Roe & Caviar Dumpling, each meticulously crafted and bursting with flavor.

When you come here you are mostly paying for the aesthetic. The food was not bad but it was okay. The service I will say is not great. Odd because this is a Michelin restaurant, you’d expect high quality service. One of our waiters was not that good at explaining the menu to us.
