Jjamppong and tangsuyuk are both delicious 💕 The owner is also very kind 🥹
It seems to be more delicious than most Korean Chinese restaurants... I hope you prosper🗽🇺🇸

The owner is very friendly. There is a lot of seafood in the jjamppong, so it is spicy but I enjoyed it. The sweet and sour pork sauce is also delicious.

Kid-friendliness: I went with my child, and I was grateful for their consideration. They made space for a stroller and a high chair was prepared, so I had a comfortable meal.

Had Jjamjjamyun (half jjajangmyun and half jjamppong). It tasted like the nice jjajangmyuns and jjamppng I had in Korea. The noodles were chewy, and both the jjajangmyun and jjamppong had the nice oiliness and richness in flavour. The fried dumplings had nice crispy surface.
I would however not recommend the tang su yuk, that was made with beef instead of pork. The meat had slight unpleasant tone that can come from defrosted meat.

The place looked like a cute pub.

In the past, when people asked to go to Hyodonggak, they said, “Oh, it’s just that place,” so I didn’t go often. Something has changed these days and it tastes delicious. I recommend Samseonganjajang and sweet and sour pork.

Jjajangmyeon was so delicious that it tastes as good as eating it in Korea!! But the jjambbong was a bit bland and the sweet and sour pork had a smell.

It was more delicious than expected.
I think it’s as good as most Chinese restaurants in Korea!

I was worried because there was a review saying the sweet and sour pork had a spicy smell, but we enjoyed it 👍🏻

Mediocre food. My guest had the black bean noodles, they were too sweet and couldn't taste anything but sugar. Had the shumai to share, too sweet. Ordered the pho for myself, can't tell you if it was good or not because they forgot to actually make it.

Do yourself a favor and go to one of real restaurants on either side of this place. Guarantee you will not only have a good meal, but it will actually arrive.

This has been the worst food I've had in a while. The fried chicken I ordered was just a bad General Zho's. Not garlic like the special said. The kimchi was bad (albeit free), and the rice was some long grain, undercooked shid. For 30$ per plate, I expected more. I am appalled I have to pay for my meal. Chicken and tofu soup. Dogwater. Terrible.

Sapporo draft for 9$ was a good deal though.

It tastes good, but the quantity is too small. I came here a year ago, but the amount has decreased. Of the several places I went to during my trip to New York, it was the most expensive, and I wasn't full. Our family of four ordered 2 pieces of Jjamjja Ramen, 1 piece of Jjambbong, 1 piece of Jjajang, and 1 small piece of sweet and sour pork. The price is not cheap, and the sheep are not American sheep. The Korean restaurant right next door had similar prices, but the portion size was American, so I was satisfied, but I was disappointed even after eating all of Hyodonggak.

A friend introduced me to this place years ago and it's been my favorite Chinese-Korean restaurant to go to. So underrated and easy to miss spot. I mainly come here for their jjajangmyeon (N2. noodles with brown sauce). It's my favorite here and as of right now, better than any spot in the town area specifically this dish. Noodles are perfectly chewy and combined with the fresh aroma of the sauce, filled with sweet onions and baby chunks of meat- it's hard to find any fault with it! Maybe except that if you didn't know what it was, it's not exactly visually appealing. But taste wise... mmmmm!!

I've passed the word along to other friends and coworkers and they always ask to come back here with me. "When's our next Noods date?" Haha

Besides the jjajangmyeon, I also recommend their Spicy Seafood soup! It's not terribly spicy- just a tiny kick to your taste buds. The soup tastes especially good on a cold winter day. When I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for, I usually go for their N1, which is a combination of the jjajangmyeon and their Spicy seafood soup. A bowl split down the middle so you have half portion of each. Best of both worlds!

Also have had their fried pork dumplings. They're very oily but if you can overlook that, they're crispy yet juicy on the inside and filled with lots of meaty goodness. Also comes with a sweet dipping sauce. I don't get this every time but when I do- definitely no regrets.

Their kimchi is a hit or miss. Somehow not always consistent. But their yellow pickled radish tastes good especially with the jjajangmyeon.

Every time I come here, the staff are always nice and welcomes you at the door. I've always been seated right away and service has always been excellent.

I ordered soy sauce, jjamppong, and kkanpunggi…
I wasn't expecting much, but the three of us couldn't even eat half of it and had leftovers.
The jjamppong was bland, the soybean paste had a poor noodle-to-sauce ratio, and the kkanpunggi batter was almost like gelatin.
I think it's edible on site.
At least the delivery is very bad ㅠㅜ
Even thinking about the price makes me very upset.

Ordered delivery and took a straight L.
Maybe it’s better dine-in but please don’t get noodles or fried items delivered. We were hungry and didn’t finish even half of what we ordered. Wow what an L.
