One of my favorite spots! The noodles with brown sauce are to die for. Cozy wood interior that makes you feel like you are in a ship. Absolutely recommend this for anyone looking for relaxing vibes and delicioua korean food.

We came here for the jjajangmyeon based on a recommendation and left happily full of delicious food. Fried dumplings and sides were delicious. Pho was savory and satisfying. Our server was so attentive and friendly, but we also felt treated to an intimate and quiet dinner without being hovered over. The neighboring restaurant had a line down the road of people waiting while we enjoyed a very calm and beautiful space-- if you're in the fence about going here vs. the popular next door restaurant--don't be. We'll absolutely be back to Hyo Dong Gak the next time we're in NYC for a show.

Black bean noodles, beef pho, and fried dumplings. Everything was delicious, service was great, and it wasn't too busy. Prices were what I would expect.

Really delicious black bean noodles! And a good deal on soju. The fried dumplings were also tasty, super crispy.

I have a foot injury so ordered delivery. I figured the food would survive since jajangmyeon is (or was before fried chicken?) THE delivery food in Korea.
Jajangmyeon (자장면) had totally classic flavors. Good balance of sweet, salty, earthy. Steamed dumplings (찐만두) were an excellent example of a classic Korean dumpling. I appreciated having the side of sweet and sour pork (탕수육) since I can't eat a whole order by myself.
It brought me back to the old days getting a delivery from a guy on a motorbike in the metal lunchbox.
Honestly, if a Korean restaurant can’t even get fried chicken right, the chefs really need to step it up. And the seafood noodles? Even worse. Probably the worst I’ve ever had.

The jjajangmyun was good and savory, but the tangsuyuk could have been crispier - still not bad.

First time that I tried this place. I really like the Korean beer and the spicy seafood noodle that I had for lunch but felt like the presentation could be better… would need to try more to give it more than 4*.

It was before the busy part of the day so it was very quiet. But they were friendly and attentive and the food was good.
