Nonna Dora's homemade pasta is amazing (this visit, we enjoyed the lobster ravioli). We went for the Feast of the Seven Fishes for the second year in a row and will make this an annual event for us!
Second time at itruli. Both times excellent. Food is delicious, indoor and covered outdoor options. Service is great and gracious. The owner pulled up a chair to talk about traveling in Italy. We loved that!
The service was wonderful but I was disappointed in the food. I've been coming to the restaurant when I travel to nyc over 15 years. The malledorus used to be a no fail awesome dish. I would order it to go and hop on the train with the saffron pasta and it's ragu. This time you couldn't taste the saffron due to too much pepper in the sauce. And the desserts were bland and boring. It's okay but after years of raving about it I guess it's passed its prime.
I wanted to like this place but I didn't. Not the best Italian food I had. Plate was hot but food wasn't. Super pricey. Alot of people were ordering the fish. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. We all had pasta and we all did not enjoy it much. Wine , bread , dessert were great.
As always, the food was superior and the Sevice was excellent. This location has such a warm atmosphere.
Food was very good except for chocolate dessert with gelato. Cake was room temperature when should have been served warm. Prices a bit high but quality of food was good. Service was poor and they seemed short handed. No one came over to see how things were and difficult getting waiters attention.

The actual menu was quite different from the menu posted online. They had at least 3 gluten free options online and only one option on the menu. The prices were also higher. Super disappointed.
Fantastic service the wine was good the food was good they sent us down right away they were very friendly we enjoyed ourselves for we came pretty quickly heart and I was just overall very good good selection of wine and the staff was very helpful
Just a great evening, the pasta was fresh and delicious, and we might have had three apps because was so good. Catherine at the bar was lovely and made some great recommendations for a wine pairing.

So nice to have a good restaurant open and safe during Covid times. Tasty branzino, delicious tiramisu. Healthy spacing between guests, partitions. Outdoor dining with heaters was good while the temperature held, but indoors worked when it fell.
It's my go to for great food & wine with the ability to have a conversation and not have to shout at your dinner guests. Staff always friendly and accommodating, been around for many years but doesn't seem to get the accolades it deserves!
I'm sure the pandemic has had a great affect on many restaurants in NYC and I Trulli was not spared! I understand the menu being modified and downsized due to various supply shortages for both food and wine! not sure if ownership has changed, but the staff was unrecognizable and I've been dining there for the better part of 20+ years! they were friendly and attentive, but not what I had been used to for all of my prior visits! the food was good, but my pasta dish (main course) was over-cooked and mushy, even though the "cacio e pepe" sauce was good! overall it was a good night, but it wasn't the experience I had remembered for many past years of experience! hope they can get back to where they once were!
I used to take clients here often for lunch and dinner and was always very pleased. Went last night and was sorely disappointed. The life has gone out of this place. Decor looks shabby. Italian waiters are gone. And the worst was the food was uninspired at best and the lasagne inedible- reheated too many times, rubbery noodles, odd sauce. It's a shame really.
This is one my all time favorite places in the city! Everytime the service is incredible, the staff is so friendly, drinks and food come out very quick too. The italian food takes me back to Europe... from the wine, to the homemade pasta, to the baked bread with spices and tomatoes. Would highly recommend this place and will be returning!
