I got the basic Ramen and it was great! Next time I will add the extras. It was our first time so we didn’t know what to expect. Great texture and the broth was rich. Absolutely amazing! All I knew was that a friend said it was one of the most authentic places he has been to and he recommended that I try it while in New York! Not disappointed at all!!

ICHIRAN Ramen NY Times Square provides a distinctive and customizable ramen dining experience. Customers can choose noodle firmness and spice level, ensuring a personalized meal. The food is generally tasty, with many praising the broth, noodles, and extras like egg and nori, rating them 10/10. The restaurant’s service is prompt, with servers delivering food through a curtain for minimal contact, and the front desk staff are friendly and organized. The ambiance remains authentic and comfortable, especially appealing to solo diners, while still accommodating groups with foldable stall walls. Many guests consider it the best ramen in the city, capturing authentic Japanese flavors that remind visitors of Japan. The experience is unique in NYC, offering a fun, immersive Japanese dining environment where tipping isn't required, in line with tradition. Some reviewers mention that the meat can be slightly dry and salty, and the regular ramen typically includes about two or three pieces of chashu. The broth can be a bit salty for some, and spice levels may be mild, but overall, the ramen remains delicious. The restaurant can have long lines and tight spaces, which might be challenging for families or those needing wheelchair access. The atmosphere is praised as amazing, though some find the music a little odd. Diners enjoy the taste of dishes like yakibuta and matcha beer. Despite a few drawbacks, ICHIRAN Ramen NY Times Square continues to deliver a fun and authentic Japanese ramen experience that many plan to revisit.
