Just saw an amazing Broadway show and came here not expecting anything and was blown away... all the sushi - ikura, uni, toro was so fresh and delicious. You have to try their pork & chive dumplings that the chef finishes off with this yellow, mild cheese sauce - its the best!

I couldn’t be happier with the meal we had at Imasa- it was my favorite sushi I’ve had.
We ate there because it was across the street from our hotel, but I would go well out of my way to eat there again.
We had the tuna pizza appetizer that was amazing, and my meal consisted of sashimi, a sushi roll, and 2 maki rolls of my choice. The portions were very generous- just the sashimi part of my meal was 2 large slices each of 4 different fish (the slices were about double the size I’m used to for sashimi).
On top of the great food and service, the prices were incredible. Like “I don’t understand how they stay open with these prices incredible.” The combo meal I mentioned above was $36, and despite my large appetite, was plenty for my meal without any appetizers- I would guess there was at least 1/3 pound of sashimi on the plate, probably closer to 1/2 pound.
Imasa Nori Sushi Izakaya is well worth going out of your way for and is easily walkable from most of the Times Square or Central Park Hotels, along with Broadway.

Had a phenomenal lunch here. Stopped by around 1pm during the week, seated immediately. Great lunch combo with a wide variety of dishes. The house sake was delightful. Cute dishware and presentation. I have been to Imasa Nori Sushi Izakaya many times recently while traveling to the city for work. And each time I have experienced fresh and beautifully crafted sushi along with sincere, professional, and timely customer service.
I would especially like to thank Saya and Chef Dong, also Chef Peter, Chef Nang, Robin, Sherry and Chill for their warm hospitality and fantastic food! (And I hope I spelled everyone’s name correctly!)
Plus, the atmosphere is comfortably upscale and welcoming.
Overall, this is truly a wonderful experience at a very reasonable price. I look forward to coming back many more times in the future!
