Ippudo 5th Avenue Reviews
Incredible ramen. The soup base (pork) was fragrant , subtle and full bodied. The noodles were perfect and the accompaniments were perfect (we got the egg - totally worth it. Service was efficient and pleasant. Beautiful space.
One of the best places in NYC
It was a good experience. The food was good except that the French fries and the soup noodles were too salty for me.

Ippudo 5th Avenue offers prompt seating in a clean and well-kept interior. The open view kitchen allows customers to observe the preparation process. Guests can enjoy dishes like akamaru shinaji and shiromaru motoaji ramen, as well as flavorful options like miso ramen with spicy chili. The GomaQ appetizer and Bao buns are highlights, with the buns being soft and flavorful. The attentive service and willingness to replace dishes are appreciated, despite some saltiness in the dishes. The ramen broth is noted to be on the salty side, but the noodles are firm and the pork belly is tender. The restaurant also offers delicious vegetarian ramen options, such as the Nirvana classic and Nirvana Karaka, which are highly recommended even for meat eaters. While some customers have expressed disappointment in the authenticity of the ramen compared to the original Ippudo in Japan, others have praised the quick service, full-flavored dishes, and enjoyable atmosphere, even for large groups.
