SESAMO - Italian Restaurant Hell's Kitchen NYC with Asian Influences

Sesamo is incredible! I've only been for Sunday brunch and I can tell you they don't disappoint. The drinks and food are great! Also, the service is spectacular. She's so personable and friendly, goes above and beyond. Honestly, my favorite place for Sunday brunch moving forward. Hats off to the Sun brunch staff!

Samantha, the host, was wonderful. Melanie is an amazing waitress and always takes great care of us. Her knowledge of the menu, memory of our preferences, and recommendations are all just incredible! This time we met the chef and he walked us through some of his outstanding menu items. All in all one of our favorite restaurants - looking forward to returning soon!

We went to Sesamo on Tuesday July 22, 2025 for an Anniversary and pre-Theatre meal. From the charming greeter, to the bartender named Margarita who was charming and very efficient, to our waiter Justin the staff was top notch, friendly and attentive. The food was uniformly excellent and delicious. Among the dishes we selected were the Oysters appetizer, truly the best presentation of oysters on the half shell ever; the Burrata was fantastic with heirloom tomato and fruit; the lobster tortellini (which was exceptional); the chicken parm entree on the prefix menu was an elevated presentation perfectly cooked and very tender and had a large portion, and the steak from the regular menu was cooked to a perfect temp. a sizable portion and delicious with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. We had some of the specialty cocktails, each a glass of wine with dinner and to acknowledge our anniversary they brought us complementary gasses of Champaign. We were having such a good time we almost missed the curtain time for our play.

We felt a little cold in the air conditioning but other than that what a fabulous experience and restaurant! Cocktails including non alcoholic were fab

We had fabulous food and service. We were going to see a show and they made everything happen to ensure we had timely service without feeling rushed!

It was a welcoming start with our lovely waitress, Melanie. She described well all the special dishes . The staff cares about allergies from food and the food was delicious artwork. Innovative and fresh. Great for vegans , too!

Fabulous pre show dinner! Salmon crudo appetizer was excellent and great cocktails. Will definitely be back.

Always great! My go-to before theater. Food is wonderful, service is wonderful. Nice to meet Sabrina the owner, as well.

Sesamo is a little gem of a restaurant. It was our first time dining there with some friends after attending an Irish Arts Center play. It was so convenient to the IAC. We were all so happy with our food choices. They have a wonderful Prix Fix menu as well. The food was absolutely delicious! Very eclectic. And the ambience is just beautiful. I have to really compliment the service though. It was just fantastic! Beyond friendly and attentive. A special shout-out to our server, Melanie! She was so knowledgeable, friendly and made the best menu suggestions as well! It was just overall a wonderful dining experience that I highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!

The creative appetizers--and the terrific variety of them--are beyond belief. We focussed on appetizers only and each got better than the last. After 4 apps, we had no room for the main courses. From the hostess to the bartender to the server, service was the best I've experienced in NYC in a long time. Kudos to the staff!

This restaurant was fun and welcoming. The food was different, fresh and very tasty. The staff really made us feel like they were happy we came to the restaurant. Also, it always makes me happy when I can get a nice wine by the class, which I found at Sesamo. My only negative was the noise level was quite high. Loved this Resturant and can't wait to return

Fabulous dinner and excellent service. The octopus was delicious and the cheesecake was perfection. Such a treat!

Just lovely for Saturday lunch. Still thinking about the baby artichokes. Easy walk from the theater district.

Delicious Fennell salad with grilled chicken with walnuts, hazelnuts and sliced apple. Quiet and calming ambiance. The male server-Justin was very nice and friendly.
