In the heart of the west village, this is a sophisticated but relaxed steakhouse with an upbeat, buzzy ambiance that’s perfect before a night out on the town. The strip steak’s also divine, as is the service.

Everything about this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Our server was so incredibly kind and well informed about the menu options. We opted for the duck meatloaf, shepherd pie croquettes, the truffle lasagna and the sticky toffee carrot cake. Everything was incredible, particularly the croquettes and sticky toffee cake. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a more mature atmosphere than some of the neighboring restaurants.

Our waiter was so accommodating and made some great recommendations. The steak frites were well-cooked and delicious. However, the service was interrupted by the hostess asking us to get up from our table while still enjoying our drinks. She said that there was a party waiting on the table for 40 minutes even though that would have put us at well under 90 minutes. Unfortunately, that put a damper on our evening.

Food was amazing, restaurant was amazing, ambiance was amazing. Our waiter was ehhhh---I'm pregnant and asked about the salmon meal and he looked at me like I was crazy for asking if it was raw. Other than that, it's seriously the cutest thing. I'll be back next time I'm in NYC.

We have had brunch here twice and enjoyed ourselves. The eggs Benedict was served over corned beef hash patties instead of English muffins and it worked! I loved the twist on a classic. I love the decor especially the blue and the green. The dining room is cozy especially when it's cool enough for a fire in the fireplace. The second time was for Father's Day and I expected it to be busier. We had just as good of a meal as the first time with cheeky Pride inspired cocktails and a staff recommended bottle of rose. I'd go back anytime.

Came in on a Monday night, sat at the bar. From the second we walked in the bartender had it out for us. Was whispering about us to the servers, hostess, etc just being very inappropriate and quite standoffish. Finally ordered our drinks, the martini which I've had here since the restaurant has been open is usually perfection. Came out absolutely horrible, mirky, and terribly made. When I sent it back she attempted to scold me on the incorrect martini recipe. Then continued to gossip about us with her coworkers. We've never had a bad experience here, particularly at the bar where the bartenders are usually so friendly, and fun and overall make exceptional cocktails. After this experience I doubt I'll return, but we had a good run while it lasted.

This hidden gem in the West Village quietly goes under the radar as one of the best dining experiences in NYC. Located down the street from one of NYC's busiest restaurants Don Angie. My wife and I have been here several times and with each time, it keeps getting better and better. Chef Ed Cotton of Top Chef fame navigates this beautiful crafted menu of handmade pastas with beef dishes that touch their wood-fired oven. My favorite spot is to sit at the oyster bar where you can watch the chefs build dishes in the food-fired oven and have ample space to people watch. On this particular Saturday night, we started at the bar and had a drink next to a West Village celebrity (pretty nice and I believe was on a date) We both had the Oaxacan Painkiler. This light and refreshing mezcal based drink topped with coconut shavings kept me asking for more. I love coming in on the weekends as they have their Prime Rib special. This dish is certainly a highlight. The restaurant has a buzz and you literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I'm so happy to have this restaurant within the neighborhood. I love the fact that we can come in and try new dishes and leave satisfied every time. Keep up the great work!
