Jack Demsey's Reviews
Walked in for lunch, ready to spend a lot of money and because we have several service dogs with their Veterans, the manager instantly started refusing us service. We did begin arguing over the fact that HE cannot refuse service to us for having service animals. He stated he can do what he wants, what are going to do? Call the police? They don't show up for anyone anyways. My reply was no, call the Govenors office and NYS Department of Human Services. He laughed and said "Yea,...read full review
Unacceptable Treatment of Veterans with Service Animals – Avoid This Place!
I am absolutely appalled by the treatment my group of veterans and I received at Jack Demsey’s and the ignorant guy that made it very clear we were allowed to be there. We were denied service simply because we had service animals with us. For a business to show such ignorance and disregard for federal law (ADA) is unacceptable. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals...read full review
The discrimination The manager of Jack Demsey’s displays towards people with disabilities is appalling. We entered the restaurant with 11 veterans with disabilities, 8 of which had service dogs to assist these veterans with their disabilities. It was explained to him that it is ADA FEDERAL law that we are allowed access to the restaurant like anyone else. The manager continued...read full review

Jack Demsey's is a great pub with excellent service and a chill atmosphere. They offer an extensive menu with delicious options like French onion soup, wings, sliders, and highly praised bangers and mash, which some say is the best outside Ireland. The music is just right - loud enough to enjoy but quiet enough to have a conversation. The staff are friendly and helpful, as shown when they suggested dishes and helped a family after their flight was canceled. Visitors often enjoy sitting at the bar, where the bartenders provide excellent service, keeping drinks full and offering recommendations. The house ale and draft selection are appreciated, along with a nice clean interior and a couple of chill seats outside. The location and atmosphere make Jack Demsey's a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy a good meal or drinks.
