this is our first time at the restaurant and many many many years. The food was very very good. Everyone's dishes were everyone's liking the noise level is a little high. We sat in the front by the bar. There was music playing, and a party in the other room, so it made conversation a little tricky, I would definitely return. I did read some of the other reviews about the arm, lack of good service that we did not find at all we had several servers, and they were very attentive.

Really good food, generous portions, nice typical brasserie ambience, attentive service, excellent value. We had escargots, onion soup, hanger steak and sorbet & gelato. Everything fresh, served piping hot and to our order. We look forward to coming back.

Our first return visit after a number of years. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. Our choices of Pate, Tuna Nicoise, Hanger Steak and Apple Tart were perfect. Service was excellent and the atmosphere delightful. It will not take long to make a return visit.

I have been to plenty of restaurants in NYC yet this is the very first time such a thing happened to me.We received the regular total amount check for our table (eg gratuity not included). We provided our cards but as we got our cards back, each ticket to sign (after adding tip as usual) had already gratuity included based on the amount charged to each card. Meaning we would have paid more than a double tip if we did not pay attention to this. I mentioned this to the waiter and saw that one of the manager understood we noticed this scam and seemed to have done this deliberately. They printed a new ticket with 20% gratuity included. This is unacceptable and while it was our second time there , we ll never visit again.It was also too hot in the restaurant. There are many other good French restaurants around

From the wine selection to the dessert everything tasted exquisite. Our waiter Fernando, along with the rest of the staff, was very attentive to all of our needs along with providing spot on recommendations. We are sure that we will be visiting this restaurant when we come back to New York.
During my first visit to New York, my friend Stephen coincidentally brought us to Jacques Brasserie, which happened to be in his neighborhood. We were simply in search of good French cuisine, and we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional 5-star service and exquisite food. For appetizers, we indulged in escargot, followed by steak frites and sea bass with mushroom risotto in a tarragon sauce for our main courses. We opted for a Bordeaux recommended by the staff fernando, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Unable to resist, we treated ourselves to desserts, including the chocolate soufflé, crème brûlée, and their nightly specialty, which proved to be the perfect finale to our evening. A must-try! Undoubtedly a culinary gem worthy of every money spent???
