We have been eating at Jaiya for over a decade now, and the experience has always been amazing. Tom Yum Soup is an amazing starter, we have been getting it every time we dine there. Another delicious starter is the papaya salad. For our main meal, we ordered Red Curry, Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, and Panang Curry, which were all amazing. One tip is to ask them for either mild or medium spice level because the spicy level is incredibly spicy. Sadly, we heard that they are closing on January 1st, 2023. This made us very sad, but they gave us 2 plates as a souvenir. We are very sad that the restaurant is closing, so please visit before it closes. Overall, Jaiya has been an amazing restaurant for 45 years, since 1978!

Our best meal in NYC (at least on this trip). Just be sure to ask for mild-medium spice (unless you're hardcore) ! Hard to beat NYC for Thai (and most other world cuisines). A bit pricier than we expected, but very authentic.

Went to the restaurant in August 2022 with 7 friends a few points to note : 1. This is no longer the same establishment that earned its reputation it's under new management. 2. Because if 1 the quality of food and taste has dropped and remarkably. 3. We were asked to pay $100 for reservation, we paid gladly but in hindsight it seems like it was a desperate move because it doesn't pull in the crowd it used to, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Plenty of other options in NYC.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Manhattan!

I have had food at this restaurant pre pandemic and it was probably the most authentic Thai you could get in New York City but ordered take out today and the quality of food has deteriorated and the serving size has become substantially smaller even though the prices have increased. I will not be ordering from this place again anytime soon.

My experience with Jaiya can be summarized as follows: don't get the mild, there's so many more flavors to be experienced if you're willing to explore with your palate. Get the fish, it's a must-have. Noodles of your preference as an accompaniment will work great too!

We have been going to this restaurant for years and they have never been disappointed with their authentic and fresh dishes!

From 5 to 1. Covid has ruined an otherwise amazing restaurant. This place used to have the best Tom Yum soup. Now, it’s worse than instant noodle soup.We left after having the emerald dumplings and the soup.My family has been going here for about 30 years. So sad to sew a place go south like this.

Went here today with a friend for drinks + dinner. We ordered the shrimp appetizer which was very enjoyable. Then a Chicken Red Curry + 3 drinks. The curry did not resemble anything like traditional thai red curry (it wasnt even red!) and the flavor seemed off. Spice level is higher than most thai restaurants.Cocktail was good.Bill came to $107.00That came as a surprise to us. we read online the restaurant adds a 20% gratuity , we were a party of 2. I would not return to Jaiya thai again, as the quality food and price of food dont justify a good experience.

Ordered the special sauce fish (red snapper), shrimp pad Thai, and seafood basil fried rice. Definitely coming back here for the pad Thai and the red snapper. It was so good.

Food was great as expected with Jaiya. They got two of our orders wrong but corrected the mistakes when we pointed it out to them.Main issue we had:Staff seated us, party of 7 (includes toddler and an infant) next to the entrance. There was a cold draft so we requested to be moved further inside. We were refused…reasoning: customers are only seated in available seats when they walk in (when we walked in those tables were occupied, but were empty when we asked to be moved). i’ve only ever dined at the Jaiya in UES and never had a negative dining experience there. Will not be coming back to this location. Can’t wait for the UES location to reopen.Great food should NOT be overshadowed by subpar dining experience.

Was not a fan of their drunken man noodles. I also did not like the drink I was given. It was a mango drink.

I have been wanting to come in here for a while now. I will say the food was ok but what rubbed me the wrong way was how I was charged an automatic gratuity. I was with one other person, so a party of 2 and have never experienced this in a neighborhood restaurant in Murray Hill. We are not in Times Square or any other touristy area. The server never mentioned it to me and on the receipt it was not clear. The check was hardly legible because the ink was running out and below the charge was a box to tip 18,20, 22 percent on top of the total. Needless to say I will not be coming back here, especially when there are so many more Thai restaurants that run an honest business in the neighborhood. So my tip to you is please check your bill for gratuity before you pay.
