Delicious! Had a burrito bowl…tofu tasted just like steak. Great flavor! On 2nd floor of Whole Foods (not in the mall.)

This place made my “vegan birria”dreams come true and it was truly delicious with the right amount of spices. The mexican rice and beans felt a bit undercooked. I’d definitely go back.

People really hyped this place up, but I don’t know if it’s because the location is inside of a Whole Foods and everything is served on one-use plates, but this just isn’t worth the price. I got the enchiladas mole and was not impressed with the flavor or texture. The rice on the side was also pretty mid. There was hardly anyone here on a Saturday at lunch time, so maybe that should’ve been my sign

Waited forty minutes today for food. Food was fine but not great. I’ll never come back. I wish they had let us know that the wait would be excessive.

I waited about 45 minutes for my burrito that was lackluster at best. I had to follow up multiple times. I asked for a buzzer because they didnt give me one during the order. Keep away.

Great food. Located INSIDE the Whole Foods.
Been here several times and I’ve not once been let down.

This place has been on my to-visit list for a while, but the stars aligned for me to eat here today. It's conveniently just a 10 minute walk from Penn Station, but as other reviews mention, it was a bit difficult to find inside the Whole Foods. I was in a rush, so I ordered online for pickup. But upon arriving to pick up my meal, Gio was so bright and pleasant that I truly wish I had more time so I could have enjoyed a sit down meal with his wonderful service. I got the Chimichanga de Birria off the specials menu and the Tres Amigas starter. All I can say is wow--the quality is great, and the food was so flavorful and delicious, I am very impressed. While it is on the pricier side, I definitely think it's worth it for the quantity and quality of the food I got. I'm so glad I got to try all 3 dips, I would definitely recommend doing that. I will be back next time I'm in NYC for a sit down meal for sure!

Really piss poor sad service. Should be reported. They told me they can’t cancel an order. Then when I get there to pickup food. It’s not even started to get ready. 30 minutes later. Maybe two ppl at this place which is not ground level. Really sad service.

DO NOT ORDER MEALPAL HERE.

This place does NOT prepare food in advance. Instead, they start making your food AFTER you scan your pick up code. Then you wait 20-30 min before your food is ready, because they queue your order behind other ones!

Mealpal promises a waiting time of 2 min but this place never honors that. What a shame.

The presentation of the food is exceptional, but it lack flavor, no seasoning whatsoever. I asked for refried beans but instead was given runny black beans, very disappointing! My boyfriend said his burrito was OK… meaning not that good but we ate it because we were hungry.

Vegan Mexican food that’s genuinely good even if you’re not vegan (I’m not). The birria tacos were excellent and the nachos were solid.

Heads up: the Hudson Yards location is oddly tucked in the back of a Whole Foods, so it doesn’t have the best atmosphere (it’s fine—just more “food hall” than restaurant). I’d recommend the West Village or Lower East Side locations for a much better vibe — full restaurants with great decor and energy. Perfect if you’re dining with friends who eat plant-based and you want somewhere everyone will be happy.

Once located, it was easy enough to order and choose between indoor or outdoor seating. That much I enjoyed. Based on the reviews, I tried the chorizo burrito. While the presentation was really nice, the burrito was dry, with undercooked rice, a tough tortilla, and way too little sauce. It was spicy, but with just rice and a plant-based protein, it wasn’t anything special.
