I love the club downstairs so I decided to try the restaurant. I was prepared to be underwhelmed as it is slightly "sceney." That was, however, not the case. The interior: beautiful. The staff: very kind. Best burger I've ever had (especially in a sit-down restaurant setting). The fries were amazing. The bread even was insanely good. The drinks (Get the French 415, it's delicious) amazing. The food itself isn't as expensive as you would expect however the drinks will rack up your bill (also bread is not complementary it costs like $11). However, I cannot wait to go back. One of the best meals truly. OH AND THE COOKIE!!!!! with bourbon milk. INSANE!

I got to say when I walked in the hostess was a sweetheart aesthetically. The place looks really nice nice ambience as well, but the service was horrible for some odd reason the waitress kept on giving us a very nasty attitude, almost like she didn't even want to be there, regardless definitely coming back here for the food or the customer service. The food was mediocre nothing special.

Food was OK but overpriced. Staff was extremely rude. On our check, they accidentally charged us for two extra drinks and when we pointed it out they were rude and acted like we were inconveniencing them by correcting them. We were told we’d be able to go to the downstairs lounge after for a drink, but they wouldnt let us in even though there was no line and we were told it was empty inside. They let the group of us and behind us, and told us they couldn’t accommodate us without a reservation, event though we just ate at the restaurant. Staff, horrible service, and overall negative experience

I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. I don’t know what was more disgusting the food, the waitress, or the person who claimed he was the “manager.” Where are the potatoes tasted stale, and deep-fried at the same time, The fish was dripping with oil and inedible. The salads were limp with little to no seasoning. The only thing that we sent was the fish and the disgusting excuse for a burger. Gave us attitude when we were nothing but nice to her and even felt sorry for sending things back. We waited for the waitress to come by, so we could order dessert, and instead of letting us order dessert, she said “ If you didn’t like the food, I don’t think you’re gonna like the desserts here anyway so here is the check.” We were absolutely appalled! Not only did we barely eat anything they didn’t even let us order dessert and forced us out of the restaurant. Then, this person who claimed to be a manager, didn’t even want to come over to our table to talk to us and called security because we were asking to speak to someone about the fact that they wouldn’t let us order dessert. I don’t see this place lasting if they continue to treat their patrons this way. Imagine spending over $700 for disgusting food and horrible service and then thinking the desserts will redeem this place and get kicked out before you can even try it for absolutely no reason. Yuck.

If you have a food allergy avoid this over rated trendy spot. They rather patrons be disappointed and leave negative reviews rather than serve a burger without the bun or cheese because it would ruin the esthetic! Totally understand when it can't be avoided but I just wanted the burger without the bun to make it gluten free! If they want to be a hot spot they need to accommodate gluten and dairy free diets/allergies!

Very vibrant atmosphere, great music and service! Tasteful, well presented and crafted food selection.

As someone who typically refrains from leaving reviews, I still feel compelled to share my recent disappointing experience at Jean's NYC. Despite having a reservation, we were kept waiting for 30 minutes and then seated at a table meant for two, despite being a party of three which we confirmed over a week prior over phone and email and text. The food was subpar, failing to meet even basic expectations. Adding insult to injury, we were relegated to an alleyway due to a private event taking over the main dining area. The waitstaff's lack of communication was evident when they checked my coat without informing me it would be moved to the basement, and only reluctantly guided me after multiple inquiries. Jean's NYC may be an influencer hotspot, but it's certainly not worth the hype based on this dreadful encounter.

Worst service and rudest staff I've ever experienced in NYC. They play nice up until you pay the check, then hover over your table and tell you repeatedly to get up and leave. When calmly questioned about this they'll attack you and insist on "escorting" you out. Lol. Go spend your money literally anywhere else. This place will never last treating customers like this.

I spend way too many evenings there. Highlights : - Off Broadway (Passionfruit Foam Cocktail) - Beef Tartare on Milk Bread toast ! - Thai Chicken Salad - Tuna Carpaccio - Chicken Dish (Wasn't huge into it the first time but had it again and it's quite perfect now) - Bolognese - Big Cookie - I'm not a burger girl but if i was a burger girl it'd be Jean's I'd say the reason I go there as much as I do is more for the vibes than for a transporting cullinary experience but the food is always delicious, very well executed classics. Service is also always on point altough it sometimes does take a bit of time to get the table when it's a weekend night but then we just end up hanging in the bar area and it's not a big deal to us.

Come for the Vibes! Food was all delicious, very straightforward, I just wish I could have more! And YES... That cookie is DELICIOUS. the staff were really sweet, and we had a great time for our Anniversary!

We were delivered the wrong salad. My friend took a bite and it absolutely was definitely not our salad. After several minutes we were finally able to flag down our waitress and confirm. We saw her drop the plate of food on the Pass. It sat on the counter and was delivered to another table a few minutes later. Quite gross and we are glad we could see all the food coming out for us since we didn't trust it after that. The burger meat also had an off taste and was not very pleasant.Service was meh and the atmosphere was ok but we were placed at the front of the restaurant. I believe the ambiance would have been better further back.

NYC is Back. Wait was not long and the bartenders might be the best I have ever done seen in their beautiful bar. Frankie the Liaison (hope I am getting the name right), made everyone feel special. Food was timely, properly presented and delicious.

I didn't have high expectations here but left feeling satisfied. Cocktails: Dirty Jean's (they add Birds Eye chilies to their brine for this spicy dirty martini) was arguably one of the best martinis had in nyc. The KP Mai tai was refreshing, but didn't taste as much as a Mai tai as I was hoping. Food: Caesar salad had great flavor and loved the deconstructed presentation. The lobster rolls are a must- the bisque shooters are flavorful as well. Burger was cooked medium and had a decadent amount of cheese. Somehow not too greasy. The tagliatelli bolognese was maybe the only dish that was just okay (could use more seasoning and sauce) Couldn't leave here without trying the huge chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Perfectly gooey and there is bourbon milk to dip it in.
