Jelas has spectacular drinks, vibes and service and lives up to its 4.6+ star reviews on Yelp. We tried a few of their drinks-- the strawberry whiskey, chope, and the margarita. Their drinks are made with clarified liquor which gives every sip an extra smooth texture. The amount of Sweetness of the drinks were just right. The fragrance of strawberries, jasmine tea and other spice hit the palette gently. They refilled our water frequently even after we got the bill. 10/10 will come back.

Found This Place Because Of The Area I Was In. You Will Miss It Because The Name Outside Is Different From "Jelas" Very Small & Unique Spot. Classy & Intimate. The Bartenders Are Like "Chefs & Spirits Connoisseur" Tapas Bites & Very Tasty. Nice Location To Have a Great First Date & Conversation. I Would Patronize This Location Again.

Wow, what a find! It's speakeasy type feel and tight quarters accompanied by some of the best mixed drinks I've ever had. The mixologist was highly knowledgeable and friendly too. I highly recommend anything clarified with milk (we tried nearly all of them), and it was a whole new experience with familiar drinks like Negroni, Thai iced tea, whiskey, etc. The menu online does not fully represent what they can provide upstairs or downstairs...it's so much more and a must try experience near Union Square.

Amazing artisanal clarified cocktails. Love the atmosphere. Bring someone special here, even if it’s you. I recommend the Whiskey Cloud ?

Went for Singlish, stayed for Jelas. Those cocktails are the best!Never had a clarified cocktail in my life but there's no going back now, soooo smooth we couldn't believe it. You won't regret a stop in here.

Came here because my wife discovered this place and I'm so glad we went. Phenomenal spot with really interesting drinks and food. Unfortunately I was sick so unable to get a cocktail and get the full experience but the server was nice enough to give me a small sample of the Thai tea infused scotch which was excellent (though sweeter than expected!). Absolutely intending to return once I'm healthy to try out a few of their cocktails.

Top notch cocktail bar! It's tiny and glad it's not as well known yet or else it would be impossible to get a seat. The clarified drinks were all really good! Thai tea was the best for sure.

All clarified drinks, so nothing too serious tasting. Quite casual and you have to stand up in the space. The flavors are interesting but not that complex and the length of flavor does not last very long. Worth trying out though.

A small and new bar located downstairs of Singlish. Their drinks are clarified and milk punch base. I never had milk punch cocktails before and it was good. They have some food too which were pretty good. I enjoyed their chicken sliders which comes in 3 small pieces. We had all their drinks on the menu which wasnt a lot. My favorite would be the Che Chuoi one - reminds me of the asian glutinous rice ball flavor. Definately check it out while in the Union Square area. Great spot for just getting a small bite or drinks before dinner. Good for meeting up with ppl. The ambiance is dark but there are candles in each table (3 tables) Overall, would come back!

Only bar in NYC I’ve seen with a completely milkwash/clarified cocktail menu. Each drink is a beautiful marriage of flavors, exactly as described. Desire being right below Singlish as a sister bar, I love its unique vibe. Absolutely recommend having as a separate excursion from Singlish, as you’ll want to try all 5 cocktails featured.

The cocktail made to resemble a Vietnamese banana-coconut-peanut dessert is sensational
