Absolutely one of the best jerk chicken lunch I’ve ever had in years. My mother ate their Oxtail stew dish and it was delicious too. Full flavoured food with excellent quality & portion. Friendly helpful staff are also welcoming. I bought the fried whiting fish fillets and some fried chicken wings to take home. Will definitely be back again to eat all the other dishes! Yummy ? proper jerk chicken with rice & beans that were moist not dry like other places we’ve tried in Manhattan.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access street level entrance that will accommodate wheelchairs and rollators. No steps inside the restaurant.

Would not order again. Oxtail sucked. At such a high price point, it felt like a crime to have paid for such poor quality food.

My visit 11/4/2024 stumped the myth about visits to J’can restaurants with good service then food not good. Lesenia, i was impressed. I will visit again. Thanks for the service with a smile. Big ups

I wanted to try the jerk chicken however I saw the oxtail and changed my mind. I don’t have any regrets as the oxtail was perfectly cooked and delicious. Servings were huge. Had this with white rice, cabbage and fried plantains.

Slaps to say the least. Had the oxtails and they were delish. The rice and peas are perfect and the veggie so good as well. I will def return. They can stand to improve the checkout system as the ticket thing is kinda weird but that's about it. Excited to try more items. Prices are also decent.

Jerk House Caribbean Restaurant Review
This will be my first and last time buying from Jerk House Caribbean Restaurant due to the poor quality of the food compared to its high price. As someone from a West Indian background, I found the food lacking authenticity. The oxtail was undercooked, fatty, poorly seasoned, and not properly cleaned. The rice was also undercooked and lacked seasoning. My coworkers agree that the food is overpriced and lacks flavor. Overall, this restaurant is overpriced, overrated, and does not meet the advertised quality.

I wouldn’t recommend. The jerk seasoning was just plastered on top of the chicken. Not baked into the chicken or grilled. Tasted like I was eating the raw marinade. And the rice was hard, I didn’t eat it.

I ordered the oxtail and it was nothing to write home about. It was very tough, hard to eat. I will not be going back to support them. I was told everyone gets 1piece of plantain and the one got was 1 inch.

Ordered Mac n Cheese with a small portion of jerk chicken for lunch. It was really tasty and I got more than I could eat! Will definitely order again.
