Bad coffee. Bitter and overextracted espresso and sour scalded milk to top it off. Little to no atmosphere to speak of. At least it's fast and efficient.Would go elsewhere unless having caffeine was a matter of life or death. Also, $6+ for a cortado? This isn't LA, who thought that was acceptable?

Efficient service whether you order in advance via the app or in person. Limited seating area but this spot is good for studying since most orders are made to-go. Solid espresso drinks and prices are on the cheaper side for NYC. Buying Joe's dark roast beans for at home brewing has been positive for me as well. What's nice about Joe's is that when you make an order and include your sweetener/cream preferences, it's mixed in properly and accurately. Water and wifi available as well.

Joe Coffee. I’ve found a sense of community, and home, at the location on 68th and Columbus.I’ll run through the operational stuff first.Food: The vegan peanut butter cookies are phenomenal. It can be a challenge for me to sit in the shop without having one of the cookies. There’s a new cookie available featuring dark chocolate and cherries. Also a great cookie! Friends have really enjoyed trying other things on the menu, especially the scones and the breakfast tacos.Drinks: I’m usually a pretty consistent, simple drink person. So: The espresso is always a great option. I’ll occasionally do a cortado – and it’s always been a great option. Joe Coffee has a bi-annual drink competition for their staff. It’s a very cool experience to see the staff-created drinks that are placed on the menu. But beyond that, I really appreciate the energy, passion, and creativity that folks put into designing drinks. It’s a unique energy, especially at the location on 68th and Columbus. So, that’s the food and the drinks. Coffee and snacks are widely available across the city. What sets Joe Coffee apart? It’s the people.I’ve had so many great conversations and shared laughs with the team – and the regulars - at Joe on 68th/Columbus. The conversations and the laughs are the signs of a sense of a strong, warm, and welcoming community at 68th and Columbus. It starts with Chrystal, multi-unit manager. She brings an incredible amount of experience, expertise, and insight to her stores. She’s brought a team of stellar people into the location on 68th and Columbus. Chrystal’s experience and strong sense on culture shows in the warmth and welcoming feeling that’s always present at the 68th and Columbus location. This has such a profound impact in a place like New York. The team at 68th and Columbus is operationally excellent – the drinks are always good, and the team is great for recommendations if I want to try something new. But it’s the sense of community that keeps me so happy to be at the shop. You can teach skills, but you truly can’t teach personality – especially the genuine, great personalities at Joe on 68th and Columbus.

The baristas are talented and friendly, and the coffee is great! The rainbow scone is also magical but may put you into a diabetic coma. My only complaint is that a large coffee is only 12 oz. This is America. A large is 16 oz, at least. I don't make the rules! Also, the shop is small with minimal seating and can get cramped and hectic quickly, so always better for a grab and go situation.

Very friendly baristas. Everyone is in a good mood and friendly. I had a very pleasant experience. The coffee is delicious and the foam in the cappuccino is thick. Everything is just as it should be. The place is clean and smells nice. Service is always at the highest level. Recommend.

Regular service. The table where they served you breakfast was stained with coffee and the pastries were quite dry. There is no bathroom.

I have been frequenting my neighborhood coffee shops the last 25 years I've lived in Manhattan. Let me cut to the chase, this Joe's Coffee is hands down the greatest experience and service I have ever received! It all starts with the wonderful Manager, Crystal and then the kindest, happiest, most energetic, and professional staff. Big shout outs to each of you, including Susanna, Ariel, Lucy, Jett, Kalila, Achilles, Stevie, Jen, and Brady. I see you guys daily and I truly enjoy every visit! PS I love the coffee as well :)
