It looks like a greasy spoon sort of diner cafe. A neighborhood place. The meatloaf was good. The iced coffee was ok. The service was impeccable. It looks a little rundown but you don't go there for ambiance. I will return to try something else.

Joe Jr is a classic diner spot which is rare to find these days. Greasy delicious food and they’ll make you literally anything you want. All the staff are friendly and lovely. It’s an ideal breakfast.

I'm from the UK and this was my first burger in NYC and it did not disappoint! My parents asked me to find somewhere nearby to where we were staying and low stress.
I ordered the cheese burger deluxe (comes with fries, lettuce and tomato) and it's just a no nonsense burger, reasonably affordable and just done really really well! I'm not an expert on burgers at all but if you're looking for a burger that is just grilled to perfection, this is the place! I had mine medium rare, it was so juicy and the cheese just melted into the cracks! You really don't need anything extra in this burger, no need for any extra sauce or anything, it just hits the spot!

Burger was nothing special. I’m convinced New Yorkers don’t know what a good burger is. They charge extra for lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Who does that?! Service was non existent too. Never again.

Not only was the food excellent, the service was wonderful. French fries were hot and crispy, we got our food quickly and boy oh boy was it yummy. Perfectly executed patty melt, Reuben and chicken souvlaki plate… and of course plates and plates of the best chocolate chip pancakes. If you’re looking for a solid but small/local diner that will leave everyone happy and satisfied. By far the best small diner in the area.
