The cooks craft tasty meals while the staff crafts good experiences. The workers display genuine pleasantness. The restaurant's cleanliness and brightness stand out. Flavorful meals and supportive staff. From the greeting to the goodbye, everything was professional.

I got the steak over rice with the salad during my lunch break. It was good but I would have liked more steak for the price.

I have never been there but I watched a video on YouTube from Chris’s NYC hotdog stands and more. It made me want to fly to New York, just to taste this food. John’s grill has been open since 1986. That’s good business. I want to make price increases to his menu items, the ribeye/New York steak sandwich should go from $14 to $20. Thats how delicious it looks and I’m sure it is. The Hamburger should go from $11 to $15. All other menu items that are food, should increase by $2 for each item. The average cost of housing in New York City is the most expensive city to live in, across all the United States even more than Los Angeles. God bless John and his wife.

It's only a one star review because John wasn't there. I came up to NYC from Baltimore. The first place I went the next morning was up to 64th and Madison. I really wanted to try the Ribeye sandwich. My wife and I got there at around 10:30 because the YouTube video we watch on Johns said it gets crowded. Unfortunately, John wasn't there. We didn't drive so we hung out till around 10:45 to see if he would come to set up. He never did. I'm so hurt. Damn!

We’re from Australia and got the Lamb Gyro. It was fantastic. We still talk about it and crave it. No where else we have gone to has come close. Definitely worth a visit and we will make an effort to head back and get our fix. My 7 year old daughter loved it. Service was efficient and very friendly.

Hands down, this is the best food in NYC. Ive been eating here for over 20 years and it hasnt changed one bit, its always been the best. I personally go with the cheeseburger on a hero with lettuce, grilled onions, salt pepper ketchup mayo (see image). I recommend trying the cheeseburger, the chicken platter with the must try white sauce & bbq sauce, and the cheese steak sandwich which is a perfect piece of rib eye that john cooks perfectly every time. I stayed away from writing this review because I prefer not waiting on a longer line, but i feel it was time to share this info.
