The restaurant staff profiled us based on race and moved us to the worst table in the back. We were the only patrons in the back and the only non white people there. It was also the table right next to the kitchen door. The rest of the backroom was empty. The front room was still half empty.
The food was fine but really could not move on from the incredibly unfriendly service.
Edit after seeing their response: Love a restaurant that takes 0 responsibility for their prejudicial staff. Sure buddy I'll advocate for myself, but you have some serious problems to fix.

I’ve never catered before but chose this place for a little dinner party my friends and I hosted. IMPECCABLE service. One of my friends is pescatarian, and they prepared a fish entree for her on the side. I chatted with Lowell and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Great prices too! I’ll be back 😁

My dinner in this famous Italian restaurant was part of the New York Mafia Tour by retired NYPD officer. The place has mafia stories, and the interior walls are covered with pictures of countless good, bad, and nasty celebrities. The story of the place goes back more than a century and is still operated by the descendants of the original owners. Even if you aren't participating as a tourist in a group, I recommend stopping by and enjoying a great, delicious, traditional homemade Italian meal.

An authentic Italian restuarant with a full vegan menu option? I could never have imaged. They had spinach vegan ravioli and vegan alfedo sauce! The sauce was creamy and rich. As well as vegan meatballs! Restuarant was old school traditional very comforting and charming.

Awesome and authentic. To be in a place that the 5 bosses were at one time is really cool. The history those walls could tell! We were there for the tour, but will most certainly try to visit again. Food was excellent, the history of the candle is one you need to hear. Defiantly recommended.
The best Italian food. My father used to work at Forbes.And when we came to visit him at work we eat here that is one of my favorite memories thank you
