4 stars for the fact they have a big vegan menu. Waiters were a little dismissive and food was slightly above average.

If you like disrespectful waiters, overpriced garbage with a disgusting back alley 1940s look, and the high potential of getting sick this is your place! The experience I had was truly horrible and left me in complete disgusted. The wine tasted like it had dirty socks in it, the "cheese stuffed bread" came doused ina sauce that must have been left out at room temperature for days because everyone in my party got sick from it. 0/10 horrific place

Cute place with lovely atmosphere and great staff. We asked if the pasta was freshly homemade and were told that it was; however, neither my spaghetti nor my partner's linguini tasted fresh, which was a bummer. The sauce could also have done with a bit more depth.
That said, the eggplant and seitan Parmigiano were both delicious and very cheesy (and we even got a vegan parmesan for the table). Portions were huge, so this was definitely great value for money. I thought the garlic bread was a bit average but my partner enjoyed it.

Another restaurant in my to-go list, an Italian restaurant with vegan options. We tried the following.
1. Vegan Pasta Fagioli - Some kind of a soupy noodles with white kidney beans, it was good.
2. Seitan alla Rossa - The best dish of the night, it was very good with flavourful gravy and thick seitan. I don't think I had deliberately/consciously tried Seitan before.
3. Minestrone Milanese - Watery, mild, and good.
4. Original Cheesecake - It tasted plain in a good way. I guess all of the cheesecake was the same material throughout, though they tasted different in different parts---the soft and mellow inner portion of the cake, the thicker (as opposed to soft) darker outer skin.
It was $75 for 2 members, and felt slightly on the expensive side.
A positive word about our waiter is fitting---he was in a very jubilant mood, suggesting all items and combinations are great, though he did it to an extent that we wondered if anything will be great at all.

Truly wanted to love this place. People told me it was great, so many good reviews but shocked at how different my experience was. All the food was super bland & lacking any basic flavor. Every single thing they served was lukewarm to room temperature. Nothing, absolutely nothing served was hot. Even the water for the hot tea was barely warm. Broccoli Raab completely flavorless and served room temperature... Service was nice enough and atmosphere was traditional but no idea how they can serve food like this and get so many 5 star reviews.
Vegan food was okay, think could've been portioned better. Not super flavorful.
Vibe was decent but ambiance could be a little nicer.

It’s so loud you cannot even hear yourself think, the service was extremely mediocre I’m unsure if it was just so loud the server couldn’t hear or what happened but I never even got half the food I did order and the food I did get was flavorless someone else in my party ordered the sea bass and it came out raw in the middle was very excited to be extremely disappointed.

Came for the vegan food for my birthday. Overall it was ok. I was craving pasta and the dishes were good but not that special. It was great that they have an extensive vegan selection! The prices were a bit high for the actual food. The Caesar salad was a bit of a disappointment. Small and just not great at this price point. The place is authentic and has a classic Italian vibe which is fun for a change. Service was good. I’d recommend it if you are looking for authenticity and maybe want to go to a place where both non vegans and vegans can go. Still I felt it was pricey for very basic pasta dishes with sauce…

Amazing Italian restaurant with a great vegan menu selection. It's exactly what you're looking for if you're in Manhattan and looking for a great sit-down Italian spot with veg options. Can't recommend enough.

Food was okay for the price, but nothing special. Food came out in 3 min.(okay…I guess). Service was not great. A server should never only hold their finger up to a patron to tell them to wait. At least say “gimme a second”… super rude. This happened twice. They also switched my reservation time from 7:30 to 8:30 (because they were full, but I still took the blame lol). Go for the nostalgia I guess..
