J's Pizza was my top slice for my work neighborhood (Chelsea) for 5 years. I moved to FL in 2020, went back a few weeks ago and had to grab a couple of slices....delicioso as always! Better yet, the owner recognized me and we had a nice life catch up conversation. THIS is NYC pizza and truly is an NYC institution.

This is a beloved institution in Chelsea - even after decades since it first opened, J's still has some of the best cheese slices in the City. It always makes me smile to see that they are still standing. This is an OG joint with quality to boot!

I'm no pizza expert, but this is one of my favorite slices in the city. Distinct flavor, and tastes like it's got fresh ingredients. Maybe a little pricey, but you get what you pay for here.
I’d Pizza makes some delicious pizza as a local pizza joint. I’ve had them three times now and each experience is great. This last time I went in and was able to place a carry out order for a 18” combination pie (Pepperoni, Sausage, Peppers, Mushroom, Onions). They told me it would be about 20min and I could come back and pay when I picked it up. 20 minutes later and I was leaving with a fresh pizza. This was a Saturday around 5:30pm and there was really no wait which was great. The pizza has a great crust consistency that isn’t soggy or too chewy. The toppings and sauce tasted fresh and I thought it was a decent price for the size of the pizza in New York.
If you don’t want to order a whole pizza they also sell almost everything by the slice and will heat it up for you. They also had a wide range of other food options which I might try the next time I’m in town. Overall a great experience every time I’ve been and a neighborhood staple with friendly staff!
