my recent experience at Jue Lan Club, certainly did not meet the expectations set by my previous visits.
I made a reservation for 8 PM on 10/12/24 to celebrate a significant achievement with friends. However, upon arrival, we were informed that our reservation was canceled due to a gas issue in the neighborhood. I received a call at 12:48 PM that same day confirming our reservation, and I was not notified of the cancellation until 6:11 PM via email which due to us already being en route and verbally confirming our attendance was missed.
While I understand that the gas situation was beyond your control, I believe timely communication with your guests was crucial. Several parties, including ours, were left in the dark and arrived only to find the restaurant only able to serve 2 appetizers and drinks, leading to a disheartening experience and wasted time, including the cost of parking.
When I expressed my concerns to the host, he mentioned that others had also been affected. While I empathize with the situation, I believe it is essential for businesses to prioritize communication, especially in unforeseen circumstances.

5 stars because the food was delicious. Drinks were tasty but not strong. Service was great and we had a large group so was pretty impressed by that that as well. The restaurant is dark and trendy. Vibey with a great music selection if you prefer hip hop & r&b.
We sat inside, but they have a really cute Casamigos decorated patio.

I booked an 8:30 reservation on a Saturday night. Open table had me confirm 24 hours in advance that I would be there. The restaurant staff called me 2pm the day of the reservation and confirmed I would be there. I make it to my reservation at 8:25 pm where I was told that they had a limited menus due to not having gas. The hostess then stated they called all of their reservations to let them know when in fact I did not receive a call after I traveled all the way to the restaurant. I had to find a last minute reservation for Saturday night to celebrate a friends birthday. Poor service.
My husband and I came here for a late lunch during the weekend. Despite being the only customer in the outdoor area, we were ignored for 15 minutes. The server who seated us didn't even come back to take our order or offer us water. When I peeked inside, the bartender (Oct 3 2024) was chatting with other staff members. After that, we left. No rating for the food as we didn't eat there. We definitely felt that their service was lacking. I do not recommend.

The tables are placed very close together not convenient when groups are place back to back and you cannot hear conversations at your own table. The service was quick nice servers. Food was mid, the food storage area is open and very close to the again open bathroom where my friends and I found two live bugs crawling on the sink and toilet. Will not be returning

I've been to Jue lan dozens of times,but last night was not a good experience at all.First off they sat us by the door and had the door open,plus the ac on so it was cold.Granted he turned the ac off,but it was still a chill in the air.The manager stated that the owner was holding tables for DJSELF,therefore we could not sit in the main room,with a reservation while the other party didn't arrive until at least 30-40 mins after we were seated.Then our waiter was horrible,only came one time after we gestured for him to come.I asked for a cup of ice,and he never brought it over.15 mins go by,finally my brother just goes to the bar to get it for me.We waited almost 30 mins for the check due to him never coming to our table,even after it was cleared off.To top it off,as they have in the past,which I admit I didn't correct them,even though we were only a party of 3 on two occasions,mainly because the server was good,but they add an automatic 20% gratuity to parties of 4,or more,which we were a group of 3.The manager adjusted the bill saying that the computer system automatically adds it.Thats a problem because your menu,and your website says party of 4,or more.Plus our waiter didn't deserve a $41 tip.While I was telling the manager about our waiters service he stood there listening to me,which I clearly don't care because it's the truth,he sucked his teeth and walked away with a attitude.I've always liked Jue lan club,but I won't be back for a while.The hostess's have attitude problems as well.If your not a known celebrity,they don't have great attitudes to be front of the house.Tip though,you never know who someone is,not all wealth is known by the face.Treat people kindly,it goes far.
