An icon well worth checking out. The walls are adorned with write ups and glamour shots. Julius earned its place in history for the ‘sip-in’ and has endured for its modest and simple style. Cash only, pub food if you’re hungry and friendly bartenders eager to please. Solid bar for the working class.

I have been to Julius' twice. For most people, this bar might look intimidating given that it is not as popularized (or maybe I'm wrong!) as Stonewall. I have been to Cubbyhole and Stonewall in the city, so based on my experience, Julius' is a quieter, but crowded bar depending on when you go. I went twice: once at around 5, when it was very busy with multiple people, primarily men and their mates, and another time when it just opened. The bar is relatively quiet...
