The noodle was good but below my expectation. I would prefer bowl burp cafe more in the sense of rice noodle. But just for fen has better environment.

Amazing spicy wontons and beef noodle soup! This shop is super small and may not look super fancy and hip but they have one of the best spicy won tons and noodles in the area. Prices are reasonable and portions are big. Give it a try! You won't regret it. It is self service so they will call your food out and you have to go up to get it. They also have a sink for washing your hands which is convenient.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch with a friend. My friend had been wanting to try this place as she had passed by there one time and saw that it was Taiwanese influenced (we're both Taiwanese-American). I got their Spicy Chicken Rice Noodles while my friend got their Marinated Beef Rice Noodles. My dish was definitely tasty as the chicken was pretty tender, bok choy was perfectly cooked, and the noodle sauce was nicely flavored. But I wasn't a huge fan of the pickled veggies as I thought they were definitely lacking flavor, which also applied to the chicken sadly. Hence I didn't enjoy the dish as much but it was definitely filling! Not sure if I'd come back here but the interior is super cute! There's no wait staff so tipping is definitely optional. Another con of this place is that there's no bathroom so definitely come here with a plan!

Nice Taiwanese style noodle bar with a solid menu of dishes. The combo, which includes a main dish plus two sides is definitely the way to go piece-wise. Noodles are perfectly cooked, beef is flavorful and tender. The sides are good too, although the wontons were a tad gummy. Friendly staff. Interior decor features an open sink near the entry.

The noodles are fresh and delicious. One of my favorite noodle shop in NYC.

This place has one of the best combo meals in the east village! I love getting the vegetarian noodles, with their tasty spicy wontons and a drink, or one of the desert dishes. Tried the cucumbers once as well- they were light, fresh, not too sweet or salty. The combo is wonderful, and was fun to get with my boyfriend during a night in - we can share different small dishes this way and it's like a little party haha. It's super affordable, tasty, and very fresh and consistent. I wish they added a bit more fresh veggies in the noodle dishes, or had the option to pay for extra! Otherwise - solid, fun to order, tasty, good portion size, fresh, clean, consistent, interesting - all these things and more = Just For Fen

This place checks all the boxes. Affordable, great space, clean, and friendly service. But seriously, the noodles are just perfect. I had the sour bean minced pork rice noodles, and they were just delightful. Chewy and fluffy without being over soft or sticky. Robust flavor without being overwhelming. Perfect lunch spot.

Stumbled across this cute little spot in search of an evening bite to eat with friends. We decided to come here since the Colombian restaurant next door was closed. Any way, the ambiance is so cozy and adorable, a comfortable environment. I had the vegetable tofu noodle bowl. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the texture was spot on, and they were able to remove the peanuts to accommodate my allergy. However the bowls are made with a pickled radish which has a strong, tangy flavor that overpowers the whole meal. I couldn't eat anymore after a while because my mouth felt like I ate a lime straight up. But I would give them another try and omit the radish next time.

I had the vegetarian noodle and couldn't finish it because it was sooooooooo salty. The corner is cute and simple nice service. but bad food experience.

The spicy chicken rice noodle is my go to here. It's not very spicy at all & so satisfying!

Amazing noodle soups, good portion for the price, friendly service and calming ambience. Making your meal a combo is a good deal! Made for a pleasant Sunday lunch :)

Food quality leaves a lot to be desired given its price. Ordered a beef rice noodle but the soup tasted bit funky. Turned out it was because of a spoiled piece of beef. One more star for a friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Couldn't tell much from the outside, because it had a sink inside the restaurant. I found out it's because it's self served and the sink allows the customer to wash their hands after placing the plates, bowls and utensils away. No need to tip. The food was tasty. More Taiwanese style or a Province from China that is not Cantonese style. For a change, they offer rice noodle that is silky and very different than Thai version of rice noodle. Tried their Beef noodle soup where beef was cooked for hours that melts in my mouth. Then we tried their Spicy chicken noodle (dried) noodle which was very tasty too (contains roasted peanuts in case you are allergic to peanuts). The slight draw back was their red chili wonton where the wonton skin is thicker than typical and it was served without peanut sauce and served very dried without enough sesame oil. Otherwise, their rice ball dessert was a pleasure served in traditional rice wine broth.
