I was in search of a quick-grab lunch and stumbled into Kaffe. They had a variety of ready-to-go, fresh salads with vegetarian/vegan options. I grabbed a Moroccan Lentil Wild Rice w/ Chicken and the Dijon vinaigrette. It was SO good and nourishing. I was satisfied before I even finished. Photo is a mixture of the salad *mixed up* (more goodies hiding on the bottom), with dressing.
Food quality has gone down significantly since the ownership change. I often used to get prepared yogurt and hot oatmeal, but both now are nearly not as good as they used to be. Just bought hot oatmeal that came with huge clumps of old congealed oats that looked like chunks of bread, milk was supposed to be on a side but it was mixed in to unsuccessfully resuscitate the clumps. Where I think this café suffers is on the food, mainly the baked goods. Even if they have a nice display for them, most things wrapped in plastic makes everything look very cheap and generic.
